The most informative fishing channel around, thanks. Most other channels don't give any information, just show catching fish. Even better than the TV shows, and I've been watching them since the old Rex Hunt days.

I came here looking for skip casting instructions. Now what I thought I wanted to learn isn’t even where it’s at. This will change a lot for me, I usually get one skip before it sinks. Thanks mate 👍
@mylurebox3 жыл бұрын
Mate there’s only a handful of crew who have really taken it and made it their own. This approach makes a massive difference most days to my numbers and froth levels on the water. It’s frustrating to learn but man when you get it dialed, it’s killer ;) some days I just go out to practice and enjoy the art of casting and imagining fish in pockets… the fish are just a bonus. If you can get your mindset right, as cliche as it sounds, for enjoying the punishment of getting it going, but finding your way and learning, you’re on the right path. It took me a while to get it, but man am I stoked I took the time :)
@milesabove52593 жыл бұрын
@@mylurebox I would consider myself a fairly accurate caster when landing on a target without any obstructions. But as you said the difference between landing the lure on the edge and under the cover is twofold at the least. I promise I’ll spend the time practicing and next time I comment on one of your videos I’ll tell you how my creek fishing has changed.

The boys at bait stock the decoy switchers which are weighted worm hooks, belly, front and back weighted. Not as heavy as the ones you pull from those savage gear or zerek shrimp packs but cheaper in the long run.

Trying to learn skipping but most videos show skip casting from a boat, how do you do it when casting from the bank with plenty of vegetation around?

Hey m8 iv probobly put in about 100 hours to jacks and i cant find 1 and iv fished all structure iv had 2 hits and cant hook up and a bloke from wilsons told me to ask u where u gget the front waighted ewg hooks from apart from the manic prawn and live shrimp btw i fish from a kayak and my skipping is spot on but i still cant hook 1 with the center waighted ewg from gamakatsu
@mylurebox4 жыл бұрын
Hi Josh, thanks for getting in touch. The Smash Prawns by Chasebaits do a good one. I honestly haven’t found one that I like better than the manic shrimp so I’m gonna end up making some specific for what I need in the months to come I reckon. That manic shrimp would be one of the better ones at the moment imo. OMTD do a tungsten one with a twist lock also. Might be worth a look
@mylurebox4 жыл бұрын
You can also use solder and wrap it heavy round a hook to get the weight you’re after. It’s a Jimmy up but can work if you’re desperate
