Nothing like watching a skilled machinist put a lot of time, effort and love really, into an old piece of machinery and giving it a new life. Sorry I have nothing substantial to add other than praise because fabrication and machining are so interesting but I have zero idea about how it all works and a million questions but what I do know is that you make it all look very easy. Nice work and fun to watch. I’m impressed that you plated the parts. When I have a cleaned and sandblasted or soda blasted part that’s bare metal, I wear gloves to handle the parts until they are plated or coated to prevent the oils and salts on my hands from contaminating the parts. When I was young, the guy that I worked with at the gas station had a sweet 67 Chevelle SS 396 with a handprint on the roof where a sweaty line worker placed his hand. It was right above the driver’s door. It was so clear that you could easily see the fingerprints of the entire hand.
