Bushcraft is a skillset. It's not mandatory as a bushcrafter to go naked to the woods and trying to survive. To do that every week is a unrealistic fantasy. The way I see it, bushcraft skills make hiking and camping more efficient, lightweight and interesting... and not to forget FUN!.

I have several criticisms on camp set up and cooking. You don't use bare hands for snow, you sap your body in calories in doing so. What I truly love is the audio and visual of the winds. As a fellow snow camper, that is the best. Great video.

You, sir, capture the mesmerizing quality of Nature better than probably anyone I have seen. The combination of audio and video in watching and hearing a fire crackle, a stream babbling over rocks, the awesome and total sound-swallowing silence of heavy snow on a still day, wind in the big trees, the soft contemplative essence of light rain on your lavvu, and this shot of the ice crystals in the sun. I could put that on a loop and just stare at it for half an hour. Better for the blood pressure and hypertension than all the medications in the world. You deserve a PhD in Relaxology. (Not currently a word, but it should be ;-)

While I’m enjoying the video…culinary recommendation: for the stew, buy an 85/15 beef mix and add it first (save water for last) Lower heat(higher cooking pot😂) at first to render the fat. After that, Lower down the pot for higher heat so we can get some nice fond on the pot. Add any spices to they can roast a bit in the sizzle and then ad your onions and mushrooms. (Let them get some color for a bit to develop flavor. Now add 2 crackers( I’ll explain in a bit) Now add the rest of your veggies the water and stir, making sure to scrape the bottom. You’ll pull up the fond, flavoring your stew and also stir in your crackers which will thicken it! Happy cooking and, as always, your videos are amazing!
