There is a right blank wheel plastic, but i think it was only in europe with the diesel. Mega base model

I know in another video you had mentioned that we could comment on ideas of how to work on/ repair our c30s. My suggestion is how to replace the HVAC blend door actuator for the climate control modes/ directions.

Not gonna lie, I'm sad to see the wing go. I'm not typically a fan on big wings on hatchbacks, but the way you did yours worked so well with the shape of the car. RIP.

I have I hope there will be more videos from this series, because We can learn a lot of new things. I am modifying a Volvo C30 MK1 myself, and this channel is probably the best source of knowledge about this car. I would have a few questions What company are the quick releases and naba you are using? I want to install something similar, but I haven't found anything dedicated to the Volvo C30. I would also like it to be relatively safe and not have to worry about the steering wheel falling off while driving. Did you R-design Spoiler install it with just screws and everything was like in the video? I heard that you have to glue it and it is a lot of truble to replace standard part and it is much better to buy the whole rear window with the spoiler already installed.

NRG makes a quality quick release for various steering wheel bolt patterns; these are regularly seen in the drift scene. NRG used to be accused of being a cheaper brand, but they have proven themselves and even have FIA approved seats now. For the steering wheel hub, Momo makes quality and safe hubs. Ford owned Volvo during the production of the C30, so there is aftermarket compatibility with a lot of Ford parts. I believe the Momo hub I had with my C30 was technically for the Mustang/Focus. The spoiler is held on with 2 torx screws and 3 plastic push rivets. This basically locks it in place for when you open and close the hatch. Any downforce generated holds it in place even tighter. From the factory, there is usually an adhesive but this prevents rattles more than anything. For a retrofit, a little double stick tape or silicone on the edges will do just as well.

Hi Michael! God bless all your short videos on maintenance, that's the only thing that keeps my car running anymore. Question, I'm experiencing intermittent power loss when driving, dash, lights, headlights etc. for a couple seconds. Car won't start sometimes, but if I wiggle random wires and things long enough it will eventually regain power sort of randomly. I checked my battery with a multimeter and it shows a full 12V when off. I can see the surge to 14V when my alternator is running. I checked the battery terminals and cleaned them with a steel brush and retighten them, that did not work. Next thing on my list to check is grounding points in my engine bay. I'll let you know if that works. Is there any else you can think of?
@MyNameIdeasWereTaken6 күн бұрын
You've checked all the things that I would start with. Just because the battery is reading proper voltage, it could still be the culprit. How old is it? I may be nearing time for replacement.
@jeffreywallasch26146 күн бұрын
@@MyNameIdeasWereTaken Its old enough to be the problem, about 3 years old. I was going to replace it anyway, it's going to be trial and error until I figure it out

Hey Michael! Great video ! You mentioned in the video that you were thinking of doing something different for the spoiler - have you ever thought of re-creating the c30 PCP wing? I have been trying to figure out how to make one for my c30, and I see no one has really done it... There is 1 video I saw of a guy who made one for his c30 on youtube, he mixed the DriveE spoiler and the r-deisign spoiler, but it didnt look quite right. There is not much info on The PCP spoiler on the web, only really photos. But I think it would be a cool and unique way to be different on your c30 AWD ! Anyways, great video , and look forward to seeing what you do with the wrap!

It has been done by a few, using two DRIVe spoilers. This guy actually made his own spoilers, which I think is the closest yet www.c30crew.com/forum/technical-forums/exterior/8348-polestar-concept-spoiler But it is hard to find one DRIVe spoiler, let alone two. So I'm content with the R-design spoiler (for now).

@@MyNameIdeasWereTaken That is awesome! I really like the look of the PCP spoiler - so that is cool! Mmm I wonder if you could get your hands on just 1 (I know you said it was hard to find), but what if you could borrow mold it/3D scan and make a carbon fiber one or something👀 Hahaha just some ideas! But I do look forward to seeing what you end up doing !

@@sevb421 There are two of them for sale in Sweden for about 170 USD each, might be worth the shipping and import fees for someone crazy enough to mold or 3D scan them.

Nuclear hot take, but I think the C30 looks way nicer with the R-design spoiler. The GT4 wing was definitely cool in some ways, but I think volvo really knocked it out of the park with their R-design touches.
