Here's an interesting fact, for the original ending of JAWS 4 the shark was meant to bleed to death when it got stabbed by the ship, you can view the original ending on KZbin and the Blu-ray release of the film. The reason for the change is that the producer thought the shark needs to blow up in order to stay in line with the three previous films. I prefer Jaws 3 over 4 because at least that one is more fun for the wrong reasons.

The actress who played Ellen is Lorraine Gary, who hasn’t been in a film since Jaws 4 in 1987. You’re thinking of Tilda Swindon, who’s about 23 years younger.

What the Nostalgia Critic doesn't point out is that, in several shots, the mount that the shark is attached to is visible. And shouldn't Michael have gotten the bends from coming up that quickly? In Jaws 2, that happens to a scuba diver who rushes to the surface when he sees the shark while trying to catch some lobsters.

The shark's "vengeful" tendencies were actually explained in the novelization. Well, sort of. The explanation only raised further question. The answer is... it's cursed. Yeah, it's got a voodoo curse. And that's it. No further info. :P In fact, this half-assed explanation became the namesake of the Voodoo Shark trope. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VoodooShark "The writers catch a particularly bad Plot Hole, but they have to leave it in because it's a critical part of the story. So the writers make an attempt to Handwave this plot hole away, except the handwave itself is a Plot Hole. It might even make the initial Plot Hole even bigger. This plot hole in a plot hole is what we call a Voodoo Shark. "

Well... Deep breath 😁 Fantheory (in compare of the two books that exsist from JAWS ) Jaws 1 = Father. Got mad because of all the junktion in the water around Amity island Jaws 2 = Sister, also pregnant female who needs to eat humans, cause for her length (11 m) it was only way to get enough energy, for the 3 babies inside her Jaws 3 = Pregnant Mother gives birth later, and going nuts because they captured and killed her son Jaws 4 = Older Brother who is ..just mad 😆 Jaws 5 ? = Well not official, but the game JAWS Unleashed for the PS 2 is not that bad. Actually it tells a pretty good story in compare to the unnecessary sequal movies. Check it out if you´re not a graphics-bitch ^^ 😉 I forgot: Sharks especially Great White sharks, can travel hundreds of miles and can found in every sea eccept the artic sea. Also funfact. Brody isn´t a badass who killed the first Shark in the book, he´s drinks a lot and it is a pretty worthless Policechief. Also Amity island is controlled by the Mafia in New York. Thats also the reason way the Mayor in the first movie was that stupid, cause he has to pay is debts. There are some historical cases where a few animals took revenge on human. Elephants, Tigers, Lions and even birds. But mostly in nature it is not a revenge like a we use that term. “Revenge” is not a motivation animals have. Basically revenge is an emotional response and even in people, acting out of revenge is often not a very successful approach. Animals while not completely lacking in emotion, are generally motivated by basic needs and that is what drives their behavior. An example might be the battles over territory that were a routine part of the show Meercat Manor on Animal Planet… a fascinating look at a complex social structure and interactions among the individuals and rival clans. When one rival clan takes over a section of the meercats’ territory, and they go in and kill the young of the other lead female, it might appear to be revenge to us, because we think on emotional terms. But expending precious energy and risking injury for something like revenge is the kind of thing that has no benefit in the wild. Killing a rival clan’s young is a tactic that helps prevent that other clan from continuing to grow in size, and makes them less of a threat. Almost always when people attribute something their pet did to “getting revenge” or “spite”, there’s almost always another reason, often just our inability to understand what that animal is communicating to us, especially since so often they communicate with scent marking, or they relieve stress by chewing, etc.

You are right it doesn’t make sense especially since jaws 2 acknowledged the fact that sharks doesn’t communicate not does it help either with that jaws 2 was released in 1978 which means this franchise can’t even stick with it’s own reality for an entire decade before deciding to ignore it

Jaws is a masterpiece. Jaws 2 really didn't need to exist, but it's alright. Jaws 3d & jaws the revenge are dead in the water.
