It is rare to hear a healer tell you to listen to your own body! Those are the only healers I trust! I am trying these techniques! (Note: the audio keeps cutting out.) Thank you for making this video for me to learn from, and for all your gentle encouragement.

The sound is broken, but it does not "cut out" because every word is there, none are skipped during the brief silences.

I had been doing this for years before I knew what it was. You know when you get up in the morning and stretch? Well keep doing it all over your body. Theres a deep wisdom there.

I had one unwinding session with a Therapist over ten years ago. I often wake in the middle of the night and my body wants to unwind. I feel like I psychologically work through trauma while sleeping and then my body’s Cellular memory is triggered to release these patterns stored in my fascia. Sometimes these releases last up to an hour. Sometimes it’s only 10-15 min. Quite amazing.

I just did this for a while after my shift as an LMT and the first time I saw this video I didn't pay much attention to it but now when I just did it, I was able to relax out my back without much effort and it felt great. I also have a degree in dance and think every dancer should experience this for the bodymind connection dancers really need to hone. Thanks for the upload.

I'm a practitioner and I have seen 100s of people 'Unwind.' It is THE best exercise or workout there is because your own body instinctively takes you to areas where you need healing that even your physician can't find. And it feels s-o-o-o good! This UW is tame for demo. purposes. But do it to music, drums--let yourself go and people yell, fling around, have REMS. Yet you are always in full control. It's healing my back. It's BETTER THAN YOGA. The Unwinding you see here is very tame.

You can also apply very, very light pressure from a thumb or finger to a bad spot and your body will unwind around it. It can be really intense if you have a lot of negative patterns, but that's just showing you how necessary it is. Feel around. Your body will absolutely tell you if you listen.

I felt , as every evening , my back muscles tight & achy . I've tried a few yoga-type movements & tapping my back with my fists but with very short relief . I tried the standing star stretch & it did wonders !! Felt so amazingly good afterwards . I've done it again this morning....aah ...marvellous ! I prefer this to classic stretching before my rebounder session . It's more flowing & enjoyable , less boring . Thank you soo much ! This method will be adopted by me . It's available to do anywhere , anytime ! Fantastic ! THANK YOU

@theLionHorse Listen to the steps of what he is saying. Go where the body wants to go, where it's easiest, then if you find a place to stretch you hang out there and stretch, lengthen, breath and find muscles to relax in the position you are in. Most people cannot move freely for long before finding the tension to stretch out, the reason the ease of movement is needed is so the mind can tune into whats going on. Body moving at ease means the mind can be at ease. Hope this helps.

Actually this guy is not a fraud. John Barnes is one of the leading instructors in Myofascial release. I will agree that his courses are a little expensive, but his model is the same as any other instructor teaching myofascial release. Tissue unwinding is a real thing. I have had it applied to me, as well as done self unwinding to my low back, neck, and TMJ area. To those who are properly trained in massage and anatomy, Myofascial release is a wonderful technique for self and clients.

John we need an unwinding video like what we Therapist experience in your courses. Is so difficult to try to help clients reach that level without them seeing someone else do it 1st. The first tmie I encountered this was during sitting meditation. I started rocking back and forth. My physical therapist ecplained what it was, and how the fascia runs between the skin and muscles (myo). She was able to support my body through even deeper releases, which helped me release long held trauma that was causing a lot of pain. Exhausting, though. I sleep like a baby afterwards. Gteat technique, and my insurance covered it!

Audio drops out every 5 sec! Please re-upload. Would love to do this work but audio dropout plus audio content without instruction is difficult. Pease describe movements - without chatter. Hard to watch movements when you're hearing something totally unrelated and there is no instruction. E.g. is hand facing up or down?

Instruction about the hand facing up or down? is novelenes watching a different video? Instructions were clear - do what YOUR body wants, don't try to mimic the model.

@shamanic16 жыл бұрын
Sharon, this "creepy as hell guy" founded a therapeutic modality, which has assisted - perhaps - thousands of women, in recovery, from the actions of actual "creeps". No woman has taken legal action, against this man (remarkable, in this era). If you would like to know who "this man" is, his name is John Barnes, and his website is myofascialrelease.com. As for his weight; what has that got to do with the gifts he has imparted to physical therapists, and patients, alike? Of course, if you do put your judgement(s) on hold, and look into the teachings of Mr. Barnes, and your initial impression persists, I would strongly suggest you get a series of myofascial release sessions - perhaps from someone with a body you find more acceptable. Myofascial release can do a lot to help with "stuck" attitudes, as well as stuck fascia!
