I would love to prescribe these lenses for children. But in India optometrists are merely ophthalmic assisstants. Not that knowledge is less, our govt doesnt give us a free hand even after studying the course for 4 years. We cant even legally use cycloplegics or mydriatrics or flourescein. So all these videos are really great but in this country nothing can get done.

Of course, if the young person would correctly wear a plus lens (intelligently ) the child could change from 20/50, to 20/30, and then confirm 20/20. That is a Change of from measured -0.75 Diopters, to +0.25 Diopters. Why not. It makes scientific engineering common sense to do it.
