Your plot looks great, Emma , and is the result of all the hard work you have put in. It's an allotment , not a formal Italian garden ! The critics are speaking through their aspidistras !

You've done a fantastic job. 😊 One or two Karen's speaking out should NEVER depress you. I've seen you transform your plots into the glory it is. Feed that poor, skinny visitor. He's longing for food and love. Maybe his owner is too stingy with food and love. Sniff. Love your bird. He's super sweet. We deal with voles and can't plant. You are blessed to only deal with bugs. Lol Much love coming your way! ❤

I'm with all the lovely comments you've had today, Emma. I promised myself I wasn't going to comment on anymore video's I watched as someone added a comment to mine on another great allotment blog and they were really scathing. I always say I'm fairly new to growing and therefore take in any info I can. This person really annoyed me and made me feel stupid. But I felt so strongly about your negative comments I had to add my support to all your loyal followers. YOU ARE A LOVELY PERSON, don't ever forget that 😊

Emma I watched you throughout autumn & winter transform the new plot. You were and continue to be an amazing inspiration. I’ve been a gardener for many years & have learnt so much from you eg wildlife area & addition of flowers for pollinators. I’ve done that on my plot this season & the plot is alive with beneficial insects Never had such good crops. All thanks to you Emma. Look forward to more videos 🤩

Don't validate troll comments. There are people who get off on being nasty while hiding safely behind a wall of anonymity. They want a reaction, ANY reaction. IGNORE. I have a neighbor on one side who has let his back garden go pretty wild and unkempt. Though I'm occasionally annoyed by the weeds that keep attempting to encroach into my yard, I'm also enthralled by all the pollinators I see over the fence! I'm simply amazed at how much you've done with the new plot! If it were me, I wouldn't have had it ready for planting until 2025, LOL. I love your attitude, I love your videos, and I love your allotment! And I like your little change in production style by showing us more of your actual work in fast forward mode. 🙂 (Some garden-tubers only do the walk-and-talk but I don't subscribe to them. I like to see a bit of action/work done, too.)

Well let me blimin counter that hater, Emma, I got the phonecall today that I have finally got my new allotment plot!! You are one of the main reasons I applied to even get an allotment, I'm so excited and your vids have helped push me forward to get to this point. I get to view and sign for it on Thursday. You truly inspired me, even if all I seem to do is occasionally pop up and go on about planting more spuds and generally being a tad overexcited about spuds 😅 I appreciate well beyond just your spuds Emma 😅. Please don't be deterred by someone that's obviously a bit bitter and shriveled enough to say such horrible things. There's plenty of people who appreciate just how much you do!! Here's to continuing to be productive! ❤

I wonder if the evil commenters realise the amount of time and effort goes into every episode of Emma's Allotment Diaries. Planning the shots , locations, shooting angles , filming ,focusing ,fixing , retakes and bloopers etc . Then hours of editing, voice overs , music and then uploading to KZbin. Intermingled with all that we have the actual gardening all done single handedly. Not forgetting to feed Einstein and chatting to Rocky before collecting more woodchip . Now multiply all this by three, or four if you count in the new Sunday matinee. Well done Emma.

I dont usually comment on you tube video but I just had too. I had an allotment 10 years ago, I just found out I was having a child and didn't have the most amount of money to put Into the plot. I kept it for 4 years but because it wasn't completely weed free and booming like all the others that I saw online I decided to give it up. I've been following you for almost a year now and love your way of working. It's about enjoying what your doing and not perfection. I'm now on a waiting for a plot in my area and excited to do what I can. Not expecting perfect but the amazing fresh homegrown crops. That's all down to your videos. Keep at it and ignore the haters ❤

The people who choose to make unkind comments obviously haven't seen just how overgrown your new part was when you took it on. They are just sad people who probably don't even own a garden. It also must be difficult to bring many suitable tools to an allotment due to theft etc. Never let them get to you, the rest of us nice people enjoy your blogs.

You do not have to justify yourself to anyone this is your channel and if people want to watch it all well and good if they take something away from it fantastic if they don’t, then they don’t have to watch it again but they do not have to slate you or your efforts.. Anyway, Rocky foxy Einstein and the dickie birds all seem to love your plot so if you have the approval of all the animals that is a ✔️in my book youyou go girl you’re doing a great job and your are an inspiration to many.

Autumn is the hardest time of the year on the plot (my opinion). So much tidying and clearing. Take no notice of keyboard warriors. Your plot looks great. Some of the ones near me are sadly jungle like, which is sad. They should be cultivated. I'm worried we may lose them if more people don't take them on. It's mostly older folks on our plots, and I fear many are out of energy. It's great to see young folks growing stuff. The problem with pollinators this year was the amount of rain at a vital time. On the other hand...I have loads of voles, moles, squirrels, birds and deer! One more thing. Could you get yourself a cheap battery operated strimmer? It was a life changer for me.

First off all you have 2 Chrildren a husband a job a house and gardens to take care off then two huge alotment plots, how the hell can some people be so mean and nasty and have such a nasty , horrible soul that they leave such a comment. I have a full-time job. My children are adults. I've a small garden, and I find it difficult to find the time for everything. I've taken on a small plot which is part of my sons garden right at the back it was very overgrown, nothing like your plot I've cleared it and put in 4 beds two I got for nothing from a friend other two we made from wodden beams I took down from my kitchen ceiling ( they weren't anything fancy) I like you don't want to be spending money on a plot I will never own. I did bring pots from my own garden and other things. But again, I'm finding it hard to fit everything in. People who grow their own food and add to wildlife shouldn't be criticised in any way . Also, nobody knows what other things you or anyone has going on in their life's. You're doing great❤ I'm in Ireland. I had sweet peas flowering up to Christmas day last year after cutting them back end of October

My sweet peas are still flowering too! Never had them flowering for so long, what’s going on! I’m sorry you’ve had some nasty comments, Emma. But what really is an allotment? It’s a functional space for us to create produce. However it may look is truly secondary to that. My little kitchen garden is certainly not the most pleasing to look at, but I have had kilos and kilos of produce this year. I wouldn’t swap that for a neat and tidy, boring plot from a picture book 😂 fwiw I think your plot is absolutely gorgeous! I can see the hard work, care and attention you give it!

I agree gardens don’t have to be perfect but don’t know who wrote the article you mentioned. My garden is very tidy and I had more pollinators than ever before. If the article were true it wouldn’t just be a problem in the UK. I’m just saying a garden doesn’t have to be messy to have pollinators. My comment has nothing to do with your garden. Just the article.

Hi Emma, I read that comment a few weeks ago and thought how nasty it was, it was there for no other reason than to provoke a response. If your channel isn’t for them, they can watch someone else. Please be heartened by how many responses they had to that comment, saying exactly that. You garner a lot of love here Emma from people who love what you do. My plot is a habitable mess, as any good allotment should be. We aren’t just growing flowers and veg, we are custodians of the small piece of land we have been blessed to be allowed to tend to, and we have a responsibility to all the other creatures, large and small that share our space. Today my plot has been alive with insects, flying and crawling (I have my first millepede!) and I even have bees still feeding on yet another newly self sown, and ramblingly scruffy, borage! My tiny friends love and cherish my plot and what I do for them, and so do yours. Who gives a monkeys if you won’t win tidy garden of the year. Welcome to real life in the diversity crisis of 2024. Rant over! But it makes me so mad when people purposely set it to hurt good peeps like you Emma. Remember, thousands of people love you and tune in religiously three times a week to see you being you. As Baz Luhrmann says, remember only the compliments and forget the bad stuff. Those people deserve no head space in your beautiful, scissor losing mind ❤❤

Wtf your allotment looks great! Don't worry about dumb comments. They ought to go watch those lawn care videos where they spend hours where they spend hours turning their gardens into golf courses. My dad is 71 and doesn't watch KZbin but he loves your videos and your personality. Both he and I have your attitude when it comes to gardening.

You have achieved so much on both your plots in a short space of time.....the negative comments will never diminish all you have accomplished and the joy you have brought to us in your videos.

Hi Emma love your plot I know how difficult it can be doing it your own as I also do work alone. Ignore the moaners best place for them is in the compost heap. Keep up the good work. Mike B.

Emma, you did an amazing job this year and you are an example for me on indurance and I would have never done so much as you. You can surely be so proud!! Go to the allotment in every weather, do hard work and rewilding area’s. And be funny and cheerful despite some hard periods. You are an example of modern alloment-care. Young people like you are doing good work for the environment. We older people can learn from that! It gives me a lot of inspiration ❤

Emma, I just wanted to say how much I have been enjoying your videos. I don't have an allotment but when I did have a garden, I found it very rewarding and also very much work. I can see in your allotment a great deal of thought and work and I think I'd be darn proud if it were mine. Well done!

I was upset when neighbours were aggressive and rude about my front lawn being a wild garden, but I have watched the bees and butterflies from my sofa all summer, and we had a woodpecker collecting insects. So many birds.I have loved it. Let the joy you get overcome the negative.❤

Emma, you've worked very hard on your allotments. No garden has to be perfect, much more interesting! Keep up the great work! 🎉🎉

❤You're awesome! You've taken on that totally overgrown plot and singly cleared it to something that is producing, (plus you've had no offer of help from site owners to take away such a huge amount of weed etc!) keep your chin up hun, big hugs from us Emma supporters!

I don't agree with that lady, I watch your videos all the time and for inspiration on my new allotment, mine was greatly overgrown so I'm doing it a bit at a time, it is a lot of work but I'm enjoying it so much. I don't think people sometimes realise how much hard work goes into having an allotment, but it's so rewarding. It's so easy for people watching and criticising from their armchairs. I love your videos, your plot is lovely and the fact you have Einstein and Rocky featuring in your videos makes them very special. I love Robins. I say well done Emma! Keep going! ❤

I never get why people feel so entitled to trash other folks on their videos. Just don’t watch and shut up if you haven’t got anything nice to say. Emma, I LOVE your videos and your plot.

You have every right to be very proud of yourself. You've put a lot of hard work into your plot. Anybody that's knows anything about growing anything knows you need the polinators. And we all need to support the wildlife any way we can. Keep doing what your doing. Your doing an excellent job 😊
