also i actually love the wonky carrie hat, to me it gives off the distortion effect that being surrounded by that much fire would give off. heat waves visibly distorting things. super super cool!

I am really enjoying this!! I am also listening to Carrie at the moment (inspired by you) and am enjoying it. I have read a lot of King and like most of them. I hadn't ever read Carrie, so I plan to finish it and then watch the movie as well. I love your idea of running with the book and delving deeper, it has me interested in researching telekinesis and reading more books that incorporate that concept.

It's been a long time since I read Carrie, but it makes total sense to me why Margaret White would wear all black. She wouldn't wear white because she views herself as a sinner (letting Mr. White impregnate her). It's very Catholic guilt vibes. Black is also the color of mourning, maybe for Mr. White's death? It's also the color that nuns are known to wear.
