Nice! A few spicy cards i was thinking about were Not of this world which is a free way to protect myrkul when someone tries to target him which i have a feeling will happen a lot lol. Stinging study to gas back up 5 mana instant draw 7 for 7 life. Then if you wanted some non walking ballista outlets for the devoted druid mana the bloodrite invoker or silvanus invoker are generic mana outlet wincons for infinite green mana. Sadly myrkuls own invoker is real bad. Im not a huge fan of the cinderhaze wretch without it progressing towards a win con with lilianas caress/megrim/waste not etc but other than that its a sweet build.

I usually just leave the card half in half out the sleeve to represent it as an enchantment. When I tried to put them upside down I got confused a couple of times during the untap step becausem my tap orientation is inconsistent 😅

im not sure how well this deck functions? you only run 7 ways to sac creatures, 11 if you count the 4 creatures that sac themselves. i feel like it will be extremely slow without more sac outlets, like some alters, carrion feeder, or flesh bag marauder type of affects. the marauder type of creatures seem pretty good in this deck, being able to sac themselves to get the affect again. idk, im sure it plays fine enough, but more ways to actually kill your creatures outside of board wipes seems like it'll smooth out the playstyle a bit. just some thoughts.

I was going to say the same, the concept looks amazing but in his goldfish game he relied 100% on the viscera seer not dying, he didn't have any other sac. outlet

i have a myrkul deck but mines ran a bit different. you generally save seer til myrkuls out and i can generally get him out turn 4 pretty constantly. but the way i play myrkul is actually token gen and life gain with vito. also since they are counted as token enchants parallel lives anointed precession and doubling season works on them.

sorry still kinda new to some of these rules. so if the card s not treated as a creature the -1 counters don't threaten it? but if it gains the creature type back then those counters will kill it?

That's correct, if its not a creature, the -1/-1 counter basically do nothing. And yes, if it somehow becomes a creature again, the counter will apply right away and kill it.

Rules question: do enchantments die? Iirc “die” means leaves the battlefield and hits the graveyard but I’m not sure if it specifies creatures

That's an interesting question. Yes, enchantment do die, even non-creature ones, so the trigger will still go on the stack.

My Myrkul deck is just good stuff tribal. Mostly creatures. I think it has 10 total non creatures besides lands. My board wipes are Promise of Loyalty and By Invitation Only. I also use Ascend From Avernus in case I lose creatures early and need to bring them back. Otherwise, it's mostly the best abilities I can find in Abzan. Oh, and the Maguses are amazing here. Why buy Moat and Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale for $1000 and $3200 when you can get the creature versions for under $5. And once Murkyl is indestructible, Mageta the Lion becomes a continuous board wipe. And lastly, one wincon is Starfield of Nyx. Now, all your enchantments are creatures again when your opponents don't have creatures.
