On the topic of fatphobia, people do not always control their weight. Like Louis mentioned, people have depression, ED's etc, but people can also be born with a hormonal imbalance in their stomach which basically takes away the ability for people to lose weight. Also, some people have bigger bone structures than others, and taller people generally weigh more than shorter people, and so on. We should never ever make fun of somebody for their weight, and we should never call someone fat or say they look anorexic as a genuine insult.
@Mavuika_Gyaru7 ай бұрын
All those factors just mean it's harder to lose weight. In the end, the only thing making someone fat is over eating
@dwanyethecrocjohnson7 ай бұрын
@@Mavuika_Gyaru Actually, the hormonal imbalance in your stomach is not a result of over eating. One of my family members was actually born with this, and I live with them and I know they are not overeating, if anything they do not eat nearly enough, (they’ve always been like this) but they are considered “fat”. This hormonal imbalance causes their body to go into survival mode, and basically store everything that their body is taking in. My family member works out a few days a week, is on an all plant based diet, and also has a larger skeletal structure. So, not everyone is fat because they over eat.

Also, there’s a difference between obese and just fat, so stop exaggerating. Go keep watching Andrew Tate or something and stop saying fatphobic things😭

It makes me so furious when people say "there's worse things going on in the world" That doesn't mean you aren't allowed to have problems or that you aren't allowed to recognize your own problems. Everyone has problems, it doesn't matter who you are, you have problems whether it's caused by you or not. You are allowed to have problems, and you are even more allowed to recognize them and try and fix them. Focusing on your own problems IS NOT IGNORANT no matter how much someone tells you it's wrong.

I used to have more disordered eating patterns when I was younger. My dad, being Dominican, didnt understand why I was overweight (I lived in a food desert most my life and grew up in a less than ideal situation). And he would just constantly tell me, "you should do it for your health," "im concerned about your health," "when are you gonna work out," etc. And its not like I wasnt trying. I got on the treadmill and stuff. I went to the gym. But I was also recovering from a really traumatic period and dealing with mental illness. Some days I didnt want to leave my room. And because of my father's persistent nagging, i started to binge and purge again. If you're reading this: focus on health, not aesthetics. I went from 295 to 255. I've kept a consistent 1 hr workout routine and ive changed my eating habits. My goal weight was 180 but I also realized that this might be might healthy weight since I've been stuck at 255 for 6 mos now. And thats fine. Not everyone fits on the BMI chart-- when they made that thing they couldn't possibly account for all the genetics and fat deposits and metabolism variants out there. So don't be so hard on yourself if the scale doesn't reflect your "BMI healthy range." Plus, the point of exercise isn't to make you beautiful. It's to move your body and warm it up because your body is a machine. Just like how your brain needs good food and good things to engage with, in this case those good things for your body is just exercise. It doesn't even have to be intensive like a 1 hr workout. It just has to be something you genuinely enjoy. A study was recently published that beat saber helps lose a similar amount of calories you'd lose while playing tennis :3 so that's always an option. But just make it so it's for you. Not for anyone else.

Fun fact about shaming: Shaming was a central part of a few pre-contact indigenous Canadian justice systems. I believe it was the Inuit, Mohawk, and Dene (don’t quote me on the names), but shaming was the second part of a three-part system for repeat offenders. First time offense, the focus was on reconciliation with the community. It keeps happening, the community shamed the person until they acted better. Worst case scenario (they keep offending for way too long), banishment. Anyway, 🥭🥭➡️🥭⬅️🥭🥭

people like myron make me feel so sick, honestly. im underweight because i have an eating disorder (ARFID), and i can attest that being skinny does not equal being healthy. i'm close to being in the third percentile for my age range, and i genuinely struggle to get enough food to not feel sick and weak for the day sometimes. also, as someone who literally had to move states because i was being bullied so badly in middle school... shame as a motivator is unhealthy, and ive internalized so much of that shame that even though im doing well mostly, i still have depressive episodes. sorry for the rant, i love you all, thank you louis for bringing more awareness to this asshat. also how did you know i was drawing :0

I don’t like these types of people who push the “we need to shame people” thingy because it doesn’t help I promise you, I in fact have had body issues since I was 8 because of kids and sometimes even adults telling me I was fat or ugly and it did not help me I have always been very emotional throughout my life and definitely I was eating more than I should of for as slow as a metabolism I’ve always had, the insults made my hide myself and caused me to weigh 140 pounds at 11 (I did eventually realize how unhealthy I was being and did a huge lifestyle switch and eventually got back down 95 at 12) but people like you really give me faith in humanity and brighten my day :D

myron saying women should get married young a they can is WILD ABSOLUTELY BONKERS the younger the woman is when shes in the dating market the more prone to abusers/predators shes gonna be like what the fuck and also a lot women just arent ready at that age to date someone- LET ALONE GET MARRIED, i personally say wait until your 20s to even think about marriage but thats up to the person getting married to decide for themself ofc

I'm overweight (by overweight its about 20 pounds over the healthy weight for my height. I'm 5'3-4 but closer to 3. so I'm around 140-150 pounds) because of a medicine I had to take because of my constant migraines. I gained 40 pounds in 2 months. I've had a bad past with mental health and wanting to die, which hasn't helped me be motivated to lose it. I got called fat by my best friends dad because I baked a lemon cake. that cake had half a cup of sugar in total. and 5 entire lemons. he said that baking is the reason I'm fat. he just said that, the conversation had nothing to do with it. its not most peoples fault. yes, there might be a few people who choose to stay overweight but I've never met someone who does and most of us don't have a choice. oh and I'm the same age as my best friend, his dad is almost 50. I'm not calling him anything but its weird and rude as hell he said that. like wow thanks for mentally setting me back over a year he also said "fat people need Jesus". I'm not religious so that annoyed me. my friend is nothing like him thankfully edit: yo guess what I'm officially 5'4 and 133 pounds

The fact is that it is also shaming can be bad for yourself. I'm dealing with some heavy shit and my thoughts that do include shaming myself arent helping. They make me feel like shit and make me lost all motivation to improve, bc why improve if im just going to fuck up and end up back in the cycle that worsen and worsens every time. Shame is a negative thing, and should not be consider as a tool for motivation

I'd love to see these two goofballs (especially Myron) in a room with men like Dwayne Johnson or Jason Momoa. Both are great examples of "classic masculinity" (maybe even hyper-masculinity), yet I've never heard either one of them make a dig at a woman, let alone insult them. Both don't need to prove anything to anyone; their careers, builds, and work ethic is already enough. Not to mention that I haven't see either of them date women who just turned 18. My point is? As famously said by Twin Lannister in A Game of Thrones "Any man who must say, "I am the King", is no true king."

Sidenote: As someone who claims to be masculine all the time, Myron sure yaps a lot.

hi hiiii, fat kid here. didnt hear it mentioned in the video so id just like to add that weight can also be genetic -- ive been overweight for functionally my entire life because of it -- and weight in both directions can be linked to forms of malnutrition (though to my knowledge it usually swings more to the thin side) at young ages. also i feel like if anyone told myron that there are people who not only enjoy being fat but also intend to deliberately gain more weight for whatever reason they may have hed sob and shit his pants. love your videos louis! hope eveyone has a wonderful day 🌈

gaining weight/struggling to lose weight isn’t even just about your mental health but also physical. There are plenty of health reasons why your body would have a slow metabolism or not be able to exercise. It give anything to have the privilege of working out (without getting sick and being bedridden for days or weeks after)
