Oh my .. thx so much for these vids .. vacationed at The Ponderosa Campground in Myrtle Beach EVERY summer as a child and in to adulthood .. actually lived there the summer of '76 after high school graduation in north central NC and worked at The Gay Dolphin .. after marriage, myself and my husband went every summer and when we had our daughter, we took her too .. all the majority of an awesome upbringing .. so much, so, so long ago .. haven't been back there since 2009 except 2 attempts .. made it to and thru the drive on Ocean Blvd, but had to turn around and drive back home .. 2009, that's when the world changed forever with its new technologies of wi-fi and microwave radiation, .. myrtle beach became a microwave JUNGLE .. so glad for those who can tolerate it and enjoy one of the best places in the US .. I wouldn't trade my memories and time of family and fun there for ANYTHING .. thx a million for these vids!!! It's all the pics of my childhood summers and those of my daughter!

The first time I was at Myrtle Beach was in 1975, I'm not sure if the tower at The Dolpbin was open then or not, but I I've been back there in the '80s, and lots of times in the 2000s, and I've never seen the tower open, I guess it was closed before I started coming down there

They must've glasses in Riley's believe it or not since sept of last year the entrance area was still open when I came

The glass is only down when it's closed. It opens at 10 am or 11 am depending on the time of the year.

I can't tell you if it's safe for you, but I can tell you that we wouldn't - the only time we do is when the Christmas lights are up, but even then we go right at dusk.
