I was at the state park back in May. Its so close to perfect! The airplane's can be pretty annoying but we love the state park overall. Love your videos, great overview!

You are a brave man. Tent camping in July. Not much worse than a hot tent at night. Hope you had a good time.

Been staying there twice a year since 2005. The park has gone thru some major changes over the years. The latest prices to stay have gone up accordingly, so much in fact that I'm checking into one of several resort type campgrounds. Still it's beautiful there, the sites are wooded and semi private with decent spaces between them. The campground also offers camping lodges for rent. Regardless, Book early since the state has now taken over reservations. The prior system was thru Reserve America. I book my stay a year in advance as bike week fills up fast. Thanks for taking us along.👍 Ps. The 'stairs to nowhere' are a remnant of one of the lodges that ultimately got moved, built by the civilian work force some time ago. It's documented at the park on one the several plaques dotting the walking pass.

The last time I went to MB State Park it was $8. to go in and park, the time before that was $5. and when I mentioned that it was a big increase the guy in the booth told me I could use my pass to enter into Huntington Beach State Park for free but I’m pretty sure it was for same day only

I prefer the overflow camping area. You are closer to the beach and pier.

Just got back (3 weeks ago) from Myrtle Beach, and have to say that it's changed so much since I last visited in 1996 and the 1989 or so before that. And the change is NOT GOOD. Most of the amusement attractions are gone. The arcades are NOTHING like we experienced in the 1980's and 1990's. It's mostly just "gambling" games now. The sand, not sure what's changed, but it's not like it used to be. Hardly any shells to be found night or day. Garden City Pier was awesome, great music lots of fishing. Putt-putting was fun, but ALL of the places we visited are run down. Dirty water, trash. C'mon, Myrtle Beach. What happened?

Thanks for the video I like anything about Myrtle Beach I have a question though you may know the answer you stated no fireworks were allowed on the beach isn't there an exception by Ocean lakes I don't know if it's certain times or days but I remember visiting and setting off fireworks by Ocean lakes on the beach and not being illegal
@MrMyrtle Жыл бұрын

How much did it cost for the 1 night stay? Always talk about the $$$. The value of anything is based off what you get for your buck.
@MrMyrtle Жыл бұрын
You have to book two nights, at least this time of year. For Fourth of July week this was 60 a night.
