I know the question wasn`t for me hahaha But maybe you could start a One Faction only gameplay along side your tutorials?, like the borons for example, its been hard to make their weapons and defense stations works, but they have a very simple way to earn money early. I think they have a unique playstyle, a little hard to master hahaha

Oh and a thing people can try to look at is the overall supply and demands. Some sectors, can run out of a particular resource, which you can produce, and sell cheap, not only will this bolster the economy, but it will help the factions you want to help. (Like the Borons somehow keeps on running out of water, so if you have a water production within their sectors, you can sell it cheap to them, which will help them and you.)

This a good video to get folks started on the early factory. I used to like to build factories. I wish you could 1) build sub-assemblies outside the box and then slide them in, and 2) select the specific connection point you want to connect to - it seemed to take forever to connect to the right point.

@@WatchMysh well the game has many factions and ships.. I wouldn't mind a quick overview of what at least is not a bad combination, depending on what one would like to do in the game, fighting, boarding, fleet setup. Basically what ships are popular and with what configuration of weapons and mods etc... I know this is part of the charm of the game, but honestly it's quite time consuming. I also wouldn't mind a quick Q and A of random stuff people usually asks in X4 community and comments, tips and tricks etc.. just my 2 cents, thanks either way

That was a nice set of videos. Thought I would suggest using a 3M-6S dock right from the start. That single M landing pad is going to become a bottleneck very quickly.

No more videos???? But I Need It!!!! These video tutorials are soo good tho. I would love to see a whole new play through of this game with longer videos. Bring this game back to life and show us how to build an empire from scratch. I want to learn everything this game has to offer. I used to play X Rebirth. Loved it to bits but didn’t understand the fundamentals until I saw KZbin tutorials on Build, Explore and Fight. This game has many more menus compared to the X Rebirth so it more confusing. I want to know how to board ships and have a fleet. Build stations and sell products for profits. I have recently played Star field and it doesn’t scratch that itch for me. I need this.

I have split vendetta DLC but not the newer ones. Stations simply does not wok like this, if anything it is close to the opposite. Limiting my Sell will cause it not to be sold to anybody at all since the traders can not sell to other factions. Also, the stations miningships that bring back ore shows up in the SELL offer list, not the BUY offer list. Lastly, my traders will look for any ware that the manager has added but does not have any trade offers for... those that have trade offers are always missing from the WARE section of the station traders...

Great videos! 10/10 But there is one problem: What do i need the traders for? if there are no restrictions on who can buy at my station? I followed the series and even rewatched it severeal times to figure out if i missed something because my traders aren't movin at all. They can't find any deals even though i set up everything like you did and set the pirces to the lowest.

Thanks. :) The traders help distribute your wares faster. Them not trading can have a lot of causes - hard to tell from a distance, though. Did you put satellites on possible points of sale so your traders know where they can sell?

Missions are nice. You can also go and collect some crystals if you need a change or scoop up dropped items at main Xenon invasion gates.

I followed exactly and everything worked well except one part. When I set the ore sell offer to "Sell all but ~5k" with "no restriction" on trade rule, my mining ships all started complaining there were no buyers, which seems odd to me. Basically when my storage hit 5K, the station stopped BUYING from my mining ships even though my buy offer was set to "Only from/to own faction". As soon as I moved the "sell all but" slider to 20k, they all started filling up the storage again. I'm sure it's user error but I have no idea what is wrong. UPDATE: I figured it out. I had to change the Buy Order amount to "Buy up to" 100% (20K in my case).

Im finally at this stage of your videos. Im having a little difficulty with my miners. Since setting everything up, the miners that are getting the ore are filling up their ships, but instead of dropping it off at the station they are saying there is no buyers in range. No sure why they refuse to drop off the ore on the station. I cant see any problems that ive caused. Do you have any suggestions?

Hard to tell from a distance. Did you place the satellites so the miners know where to go? Does the manager have enough skill/stars? Oh... Wait... Check the set price at the station again and check your whitelist/blacklist. Maybe the station doesn't buy ore, yet? Another thing to check might be the storage. Did you build the proper type? There are so many thing that can go wrong lol...

@@WatchMysh Your not wrong lol. Everything youve said seems to be in order. In the buy offer for ore i changed it to max (100k) in my case as i built medium storages instead of the small ones. Now the miners have gone back to mining again so hopefully they will drop it off at the station when they are full. Wow such a head scratcher this game. Its fun but confusing at the same time! Im guessing if i add another energy cell module it will double the amount of energy cells i produce as well?

@@llamaking447 Yep. You can double the energy cell production (or even build 16x the modules...) to get a slow but steady income. I usually have my mega-power-plant at the ring highway with a gazillion modules selling cells at the lowest price. Takes zero maintenance and always generates money.

As much as this was a helpful guide, I already outgrew this tutorial so it didn't benefit me all too much, tho there was a few tips and tricks I did pick up, like sell all of the wares except how much the station needs for production for one hour. Another thing to add, if your factory takes in multiple kinds of either solid or liquid resources, it's annoying to assign a a gas or mineral miner to the station cos they always tend to go for only one resource. I kinda got around this issue by giving a station so many miners that they could 100% fill one resource storage and be forced to gather other resources.. Or, like I did my self sufficent shipyard, I just ordered miners to do advanced automine to one resource and lock them to trade only to my stations. Kinda annoying cos I have now about 80 unassigned ships in total, with a vast majority of them being L miners or traders.. I only have like XL ships in there without a fleet, and 3 scouts sitting in the furthest reaches of the gate network so I can teleport there and go talk to faction representatives or accept guild missions easily.

@@Venomaus_ That kinda works too, but then I would need separate trade ships going between stations, and it's more stuff to set up. I prefer to stick with one big station with enough miners and gas collectors to supply the station.

Any tips my M miners are getting absolutely demolished by the Kha in the reach the raiding parties are massive sometimes I dont have the money to replace the miners, and or buy escorts, is there anyway to help with this issue or do i just have to tough it out

Make sure your miners don't carry guns so they instantly flee. Otherwise you could do the Terran plot where you can get a ship that easily demolishes Kha'ak hives. Search for them on the outskirts of the system where you're being harrassed. Blow them up. No more Kha'ak... for a while.
