As an over all I like the right pointer finger as it seems very balanced in the colors, however, I find I like more of the colors and patterns on the left but then cooler colors are my favorites. Love the tutorial, thanks for sharing.

I preferred the color balance of your left hand, but my favorite nail with the middle nail on your _right_ hand. Weird, huh? Maybe I just like a more evenly balanced rainbow? Either way, I loved this manicure.

Are those special polishes in any way? Like designed to go over white or anything? They just dont look in the bottle like they will pop the way they do on the nail. Probably one of my faves of yours so far!

the whole color paints collection are jellies - there's also a silver as part of the collection that they're intended to go over, but I liked them over white for this

I follow your instructions and everytime I do water marbling it turns out blah I tried water out of the sink I tried using a glass jar and I tried a paper cup and the Polish ate right through it what am I doing wrong beautiful design by the way
@ChieriReicheru26 жыл бұрын
Jacqueline Douglas ur probably dropping it from too high above the water. Try to drop the nail polish right at the surface
@OmShantiBarbi6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Colette recommends that you use "filtered" water. She uses a Britta filter pitcher. You can pick one up at Walmart for about 29.00 . Also you can double up the paper cups in case it leaks, you won't have a mess. If you use a glass jar or cup , make sure the opening is no more than 5" so your colors don't spread out too far and you design will be mangable. Water marveling is not an easy Nail design technique. I have had my share of flops, we all have. Colette makes it look easy because she is the # 1 Queen of WM for years. So we are learning from the best. Be patient, don't be too hard on yourself. We are a great comunitty, we all support each other. Also you are invited to join Colette's live stream on the Twitch app on Sat at 2 pm. Central Daylight Savings time. You can ask questions, make comments and she is there to answer you back in real time. So best of luck & hope to hear from you on Twitch.

I've never heard of polish eating through a paper cup, usually that's only a problem with styrofoam - but it may depend on the brand of the cup. But it can take a lot of practice and trial and error to get a design you actually want to do a mani with
@ChieriReicheru26 жыл бұрын
It’s happened to me and a lot of other amateur water marblers it’s because when u drop it from really high above the water it drops really fast and falls through to the bottom of the cup. I learned that that doesn’t happen if u drop the polish right at the surface of the water
@Magilla-wo7sc6 жыл бұрын
I use the plastic cup you get from a restaurant for dressings.. Mine came from O' Charley's lol.. I had so many problems when i first started out but I switched to it and haven't had many issues since.. If I use tap water I get it warm but if I used bottled water it's usually room temp.. I also learned that if you do it in a room with a ceiling fan to turn it to low or off because it dried the polish out to quick (Got a ceiling fan after 3 or 4 years of marbling without ever having one so I didn't think to turn it down since I don't sit directly under it lol).. Drop as low to the water as possible and be gentle with your strokes.. 😊 And she is the best, I actually learned how to marble because of her videos ☺

I might suggest alternating the different colors on each finger rather than one hand being one color and the other being all the other color.
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
I did consider that, but it would have made dipping a lot harder and probably take more cups
@OmShantiBarbi6 жыл бұрын
Plus we put it up for a vote at the live stream. . vote for left or right. Red or blue. It was just easier that way.

I am sure you are aware that China Glaze re released six of the OMG collection polishes just last week. It is called OMG Flashback collection. Did you get them?
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
I did not know that! I have to track them down and see how they compare to the orignals

transdesign is the cheapest site that has them by far at only $3.79
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
I used to order from them so much - I see head2toe has them too, and I vaguely remember that they may have cheaper shipping than transdesign, but I'm going to compare them today and check ... and probably order way more than just those 6, whichever site I use LOL!

I don't know if I'll ever put them in a playlist, but if you search rainbow or pride on my channel, most of them should come up

I have tried this numerous times but it starts drying to fast. I used OPI as well and room temp water and moved very fast What could I be doing wrong?
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
even within the same brand, not all colors have the same dry time - if you can't work any faster, I'd suggest trying some different colors. Also make sure that there's no fans or drafts that may be reaching your cup
@brendalyons57196 жыл бұрын
Thank you

I have the drying problem sometimes. I thought new polish works better than old polish . But sometimes I have the drying problem with polishes that I used successfully a day or two before. So don’t know...
@teellbee6 жыл бұрын
Lately I often find the colors I want to use won’t spread in the water*. Or, it spreads in one test, then doesn’t spread in the next test. Do you have such fails? Are there any fixes for such? What do you to “save” a bullseye? How about a tutorial about water marble Do’s and Don’ts and Fixes? *I use rooms temp bottled water, filtered refrigerator water, or distilled water. None of it works reliably. 😞
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
yes, I get fails all the time - I always do a lot of testing before I do a tutorial, that trial & error and how to fix common problems is some of what I've started showing during my livestreams.
@teellbee6 жыл бұрын
How about an edited "fails and fixes" video? That would be very instructive. I've tried scrubbing through the live stream video looking for your problem fixes, but I don't seem to hit the pertinent sections.
@MSLP6 жыл бұрын
it's hard to just cut it down that much, because often even the same problem doesn't have the same solution, depending on the polishes used. Each situation is a bit unique. If you search "behind the scenes" some of my edited testing videos should come up, but even those are on the longer side

She low key used all the products Cristine uses 😂😂 (besides the polish not being holo 😭)
