Mysore Manjunath and Mysore Nagaraj are among Carnatic music’s leading violinists. Trined principally by their father S. Mahadevappa, they developed a style which they describe as a “blend of emotive appeal, technical mastery and intellectual sophistication with a strict adherence to the classicism”. They perform in jugalbandi duet settings as well as collaborating with a diverse array of musicians both individually and together.
