I understand why people feel sad but I'm honestly just happy that Nina and Mysta aren't forcing themselves to keep going with this when they don't want to anymore. They've already done a lot for the community and I imagine even a few years of constant streaming (and the occasional drama) could get super draining, even if it's something you're passionate about. At the end of the day, they both left behind an incredible legacy and I'm sure they both helped and inspire many content creators both within and outside of Nijisanji. If they want to stop now, then I think they've earned it.

I agree. While I didn't watch a lot of the other vtubers, I did pop in on a good couple of Mysta's streams and his fans seemed really mean. I remember that egg painting stream he did a while ago, and while I'm sure a lot of the fans were joking with what they said, there were also a lot that were straight up just like 'Your painting looks bad.' There was also some guy who insulted his condition, since Mysta has ADHD. Like damn, that's soo rude.

Constantly having promotions, collaborations, merchandise, voice packs, and a required amount of hours they need to stream, while any personal projects livers want to do has to get approved by management which can take a long time, get shot down, or approved but with no assistance (e.g. Selen often pays for her big projects out of pocket).

It's insane to think that Mysta has only been around for 1.5 years. Somehow it feels like he was here longer, but maybe it's just because of how his streams impacted my life in a positive way. It was hard to catch streams because of the timezone difference but I guess I did have a feeling he'd graduate soon...This is actually the first graduation that truly affected me and hurt my heart...like I'm surprised that it made me sad enough to cry :((

He's just a very special vtuber in my heart because it's his stream that introduces me to Vtubing. His Until Dawn stream was the first video i've ever watched on any vtuber, and i've loved him ever since. You've come so far, you're able to make your mom happy, bought her a house and many other accomplishment i can't even shove them all into words. I'm just so proud of you.

As much as it hurts for me to know that he's going to leave soon, I feel like he's done enough good throughout his time with Nijisanji. He's been a part of several different events, he was one of 3 Niji EN livers to reach 1M subscribers, he got to have a new outfit and - most importantly - he managed to make us smile in every single stream that he's ever done. I will respect his decision and I will continue to support Mysta until the very end.

Maaaaan… I feel really bad for him because he genuinely LOVED his job in the beginning. Definitely feel like “fans” and shoddy management killed that drive/passion. We had people attempt to doxx him, ppl contacting his family members, TikTok kids trying to cancel him every other week, and then good ol’ management fails (cancellation of the Niji fam concert, and other behind the scenes stuff that the livers have alluded too).

Mysta has been through thick and thin. Even before debuting he's always done what he could for him and his mom. and during his time in Nijisanji he's worked incredibly hard for all he's achieved while having to juggle so much bs whether it be from internal and external. I can't blame him for being "done". Making this decision must be difficult but if he feels that its the best for him, than we will support him on his new journey.

Purely speculation, but I believe it is the sacrifices he had to make for the company. And I am not even talking aboot the 2% profit on merch or whatever, but it is really hard to be creative in a specifically uncreative environment. People in suits want control and profit, and they know business, but the creator knows themselves, their vision, and their audience. So when the suits control everything, the creativity, the purpose, the drive, the passion, the joy, and so so much more all gets smothered until there is nothing left but numbers on a spreadsheet, and if number doesn't go up, you go down. Mysta, being as genuine as he is, simply can't survive in that type of environment, spread sheets aren't genuine, they aren't human, they are business, and Nijisanji is a business first and foremost.

It really must be mentally taxing on all fronts to realize that you're fed up with your lifestyle/restrictions/schedule/etc. even when you have close friends around you. I'm one of the people who didn't watch Mysta regularly but when I had time to, he was entertaining. Honest thoughts here but at this point i'm convinced that Nijisanji is more of a career builder/testing ground for Vtubers to see if they enjoy the trait or to build up a resume. Clearly there was a time he liked livestreaming with them but this does reinforces that everyone has a limit somewhere and his ran out several months ago. Its probably not that hes done with Vtubing, but just being a corporate Vtuber. I feel like that can get pretty suffocating having to get permission to play any type of game and having to get permission to collab with someone else and on top of that getting the smallest percentage of what you make per streams and merch because the company takes the majority of it. Hes probably just done working so hard just to feel like hes being babysat the entire time with little to show for it.

@@clarkkent4622 Yeah, physical merch sales probably only make up a small percentage of their income as most of it, I assume, are divided between the people that actually manufacture them and design them. That means they likely make a lot from streamlabs and voice packs. That said tho, keeping up with constant schedules and projects can get really hectic so it's really understandable that he'd want to stay away from streaming for a while, or if he were to pursue streaming again, maybe he'll give more time for himself. Some people are just not built to stream constantly while also having to deal with stress coming from within and outside of their fanbase, and that's pretty normal.

God seeing all the comments in his live was so infuriating. You can see why he's so burnt out because his fanbase is so selfish. I only saw a few comments wishing him well or for his happiness. The rest were all either begging him to stay, yelling why, and other selfish acts that explain exactly why he's burnt out. Y'all burnt him out, his and vox's fanbase are the most toxic fanbase I've ever seen. I can't watch either of their streams because of how disgusting half the comments are. I'm happy for him, just like I was happy for Nina. They may be my favorite oshis, but they need out and if that's graduating then so be it. honestly, the fact that we already lost nina this year and mysta’s graduating too makes me upset however I’m happy that they were completely honest with us and didn’t force themselves to do something they didn’t want to. both of them were comfort for me, especially mysta. he was how I found nijien. I hope they have a wonderful life ahead of them

I haven’t had the opportunity to watch Mysta for as long as he’s been a streamer but I really do wish him the best in life after he graduates. He’s leaving his own legacy and I do feel like after trying to force that spark for so long it’s bound to happen. Mysta said he's always had a passion for entertainment and bringing people joy. He certainly accomplished that while working with NijiEN, and i pray his passion wasn't killed in the process. I really, really hope this isn't the end forever. I'm being selfish and a tad parasocial when i say I'm not ready to see him go. I struggled to catch his streams on time, because he's so early in the morning for me, and i feel guilty. I usually wait until after graduation to look up personal accounts, but this time is different. If anyone knows where else i can find him, please tell me.

I’m a bit selfish too. I would love for him to stay, but it does sound like he’s tired and wants to move on. I want to respect that as a fan. With that said- as far as past life accounts, I can’t find his. I think he shut down those accounts once he became “Mysta.” I know VTuber fans don’t like passing around “past life” stuff. I hope that whatever he finds himself pursuing (even more if its completely unrelated to streaming) he will find happiness. Graduations are really annoying man... They are at the same time a clear and definitive stop, but also a really messy and unclear melange of workplace politics, disatisfaction with the activity, health reasons, new opportunities, etc. A graduation could be becoming indie after internal conflicts or getting a position at another dream job and we would not be able to know it. Talents not keeping the control of even their name makes it even more blurry. If a normal streamer stops streaming and comes back 3 years later in the same or another field you know who they are. They can leverage their name (or not) if they want to. A corpo Vtuber graduating you never know if you should look forward to their reaparition under another name or if they want to disappear from the public eye. That makes the "mourning" harder in my opinion.

Burn out is a lot more common on streamers because they have to constantly stream multiple times a week. So I understand if creativity speaking, he's been pushed to the limit. But goddamn are Mysta's stream ideas hilarious. Definitely will be missed.

JP branch has multiple Livers who stream less than once a week, even not counting breaks. I think on the EN side we were hoping that with more waves they'd have less workload since it'd be split up more, but that doesn't seem to be the case yet.

I don't think streaming is the issue here. Streaming is demanding but other streamers get by. Vtubers in a company have to do a ton of behind the scenes work that isn't optional. So you are working both a regular job and a creative job at once. Not to say streamers do nothing behind the scenes but they have way more freedom for how they approach that extra work.

There is a leaker on 4chan that had accurately predicted Nina's graduation date and leaked the early designs of Krisis including the missing 4th member. Right after they commented about Nina, they said someone big is graduating next. After that, Shu was speculated to announce his graduation and then Selen. Since this was from 4chan normally people don't believe it, but said leaker has been right for all of these so far. Just want to put that out there.
