Mysteries Of Africa. Why Is Africa Splitting Apart?

Тhese lands once became the cradle of humanity. But now, they are among the most dangerous places for human life. Barren deserts give way to luscious nature, but some of nature's dangers are greater than the scorching sun. These lands have some of the richest natural resources yet some of the poorest communities in the world. It's hard to imagine a place that is more controversial than this.
But what do we actually know about this vast and mysterious continent?
Did you know that most people have a distorted perception of Africa's size due to flawed mapping?
Is it true that Africa is set to split in two, and this process has already begun?
Could the largest dormant volcano on the continent wake up?
And what are these peculiar giant structures with precise geometric shapes that one can see from space?
Today, we’ll embark on a journey through Africa trying to see it from a quite unusual perspective.
Аfricа.

Earth is alive, it goes through changes just like people. It may be getting warmer now but in a few hundred, or a thousand or a million years from now it could become cold again and make a new ice sheet, or every volcano could erupt around the same time and go back to what it was before life was ever created to heal itself, to change. It's nature and it is unpredictable. It's very beautiful and it shows us every day that it is a living entity.

The planet will go through many more ice ages before it loses all its water and atmosphere. However, it will never heat up to anywhere close to prelive temperatures unless the Earth is struck by another Moon sized object or the Sun becomes a red giant.

and under all scenarios man can not alter the Earth rotation/spin, Axis, Polarity, Tectonic Plates, Ocean or Continent placement, Volcano Eruptions, Magma flow, etc... So the idea of controlling the climate, even on one continent, is insanely a claim of a lunatic or deceiver. What we know as weather comfort is less than a mile above you, with anything above that being undesirably uncomfortable, even if you could breath comfortably.

Agreed to that. What worries me is how extremely we are polluting our planet like plastic, toxins from mines and industries and maybe (hope not) radiation from WW3. Mother Earth never had problems to recover from mass extinction or changing climates. She probably most likely can cope with all the pollution we created as well, it will just be harder.

@@tracylynnfarley6748 Thank you! It is a strenuous hike but with training, I think anyone can do it. I went with a great outfitter. It’s the altitude that poses the danger. Along with me was a 70+ year old grandmother wIth her teenage grandson! She was able to keep up with the Ironman hiker! I was with the very slow group. I got sick during the day I was most looking forward to-a rock scramble. I fell onto a rock and broke my tailbone. When I got to camp later-that was when I was laying on the ground and felt the earthquake. No one thought I’d make it to the top-but I did! It didn’t hurt to walk…just to sit! also resource extraction alone can't make the entire population wealthy, start with getting over 90% literacy and then valued labor skills that are exportable and then you will look wealthy and be just like the wealthy nations. you will have to export 3-4 times the value of what the US does first before the whole African population would be able to be at similar individual levels of wealth due to the larger population

I'm so proud of African people who know who they are. Africa has the most intelligent people in the world.. speaking up to 15 languages(cleopatra spoke 5 [ unknownfor Greek). Greeks and Roman's started their education there thru the cushite kings in hope to civilized them. The richest man ever known Mansa Musa must not be forgotten... Timbuktu education system and many more before colonizers who took all the treasures of the wealthiest country ever known down to 96% land, gold & diamonds mines, 97% artifacts & all papyrus and books not destroyed. The Roman's burned your library in Alexandria of stolen books of Aristotle thru Alexander the great. The Roman's burned all the books in its empire 90 days & nights causing the 4400 year dark ages. One African had as many as 11,000 books in private collectors libraries....

Go ahead and be appreciative but don’t accept everything at face value. I’m less than two minutes in and I’m already skeptical of the value of this video. I’m still going to watch it and see how it goes but I’m not expecting much. The narration is cheesy and whoever wrote the script doesn’t seem to have a good grasp on the English language. We’ll see how they do on facts. Edit: I finished it. It turned out to be better than I expected. I didn’t notice any factual errors. It was a little cringe at times but not horrible.

Africa has been splitting apart for thousands of years. It used to be attached to the easter US, and the collision started some of the Appalachian mountains maybe 300 million years ago. On a map, one can see where from the Red Sea to the rift lakes, it's coming apart. This things have been happening for a long time. India is ramming into Asia, and the west coast of the US is peeling away. Things keep moving at a huge level. Africa rammed into Europe ages ago, and cause the Alps and the African plate pokes up through the Rock of Gibraltar. Things will keep on moving as long as the center of the Earth is hot.

Africa is splitting because of continental drift, a Geological concept observed many decades ago. Ii think in the sixties. The earth's crust is divided into several sheets or partitions, essentially "floating" on a fluidity semi-molten or molten core. The continental Drift model is essentially accepted amongst the major geologists in the world.

Africa is not the only continent that is splitting apart. North America is also splitting apart. The Rio Grande Rift from Colorado to the Gulf of Mexico splits the state of New Mexico in half and is still splitting the country apart. The Rio Grande River did not form the canyon, the rift came first and the river followed.

Africa is splitting because it floats on the Earth's semi liquid interior. This interior is hot: due to residual heat from earth's formation, and energy released by radioactive decay of heavy elements at Earth core ( where they sank due to their high density). All this heat powers convection currents which rise, diverge and sink. Africa straddles a zone where risen currents diverge.

Earth, at around 4.6 billion years old, has a long history and will continue its course. It maintains its unique characteristics, from sounds to silence, movements to mysteries, and the diverse creatures and treasures it holds. All Beings come and go, leaving behind fossils as glimpses into the past. Earth remains beyond human control, and we can only hope for a glimpse of its evolution from the afterlife. Much knowledge remains undiscovered, but the curiosity of minds and research enrich our shared history. Cheers, peace, and love to Planet Earth and all its inhabitants. Fantastic memories.. I've visited Egypt, sauntered the west Sahara, and hiked Kilimanjaro.. it might be a daily event following sunrise but when I commented to a Sherpa about Kili's crater glacier looking like a polo mint with a middle hole, he replied 'That Sir, is where the mountain, She breathes.' ..sure enough, there was perceptible 'steam' rising from the centre.. a hotspot from below? or just dawn mist? 🤔 ..I'll sleep and dream well tonight. 😊

I find this very sad. Afraid has so many riches, and yet the majority of the people are poor and uneducated. Tells me the government there is useless to the people. This is what the elite want for all countries, not just Africa. If America continues the way of the elites, we, too, will be poor, starving, homeless, and uneducated. We will know what people suffered in the dark ages. I do not believe God will allow them their prize. We must come back to God and never forget God again 🙏. 😊

Africa is a continent, not a country. It consists of many, many countries with different governments. Problem governments-politics is not the only challenge, but climate devastations and other countries who stripped the lands many, many times, leaving the people with little or nothing. And let’s not forget about the devastation of colonization - England’s rule which includes the previous (now deceased) Queen of England. England and other countries have some horrible history with Africa. And yes, Africans have sold their own people into slavery….so have all other countries. All have enslaved their own…..doesn’t make it right.😡

Having all those valuable minerals is a huge part of the REASON that there is such poverty in many African countries. Throughout the 19 century the UK, France, Belgium, Portugal all did whatever they could to cause conflict in order to strip any wealth out of any area they could. They continued this through most of the 20th, except the US and USSR now joined in. The US often used apartheid South Africa as a proxy in continuing these "policies". If Africa were as resource poor as say, Bangladesh, it would be better off. Anyone from West Virginia can tell you that having coal mines that powered the US for over a century failed to do a thing for the people who lived there and worked in the mines. It is consistently one of the poorest states in the US, with the worst drugs crisis (for that very reason), no health care and terrible education...so there's no ladder out for the young. The coal barons on the other hand built mansions in Newport and New York City. And haven't paid any taxes in decades. We do it to our fellow citizens, we sure as hell do it to people on other continents.

Hello ! Sahara-desert is a funny name for a desert. Long time ago, when a adventurer or a colonist came in the African region, they asked the autochthones the name of the huge desert. The answer was "Sahara". With a poor knowledge of the Arabic language, the adventurers and colonists, they thought it was the name of the big desert. What they didn't catch is that Sahara is the Arabic word meaning desert. So the Sahara-Desert means the Desert-Desert. It's like the discovery of America. Christoph Columbus discovered Columbia and Amerigo Vespucci discovered the bay between the two continent. Vasco Núñez de Balboa discovered the Pacific Ocean after crossing the isthmus of Panama in 1513.

Yeah, the standard map we see most is Mercator, but it is so distorted. I studied geography in university & learned about equal area maps. The one of those I like the best because of the least distortion is Goode's broken homolosine. It's still not perfect, but as long as it minimizes distortion Im good with it. In fact, since I write science fiction and like to design planets for my works, Inuse thisctype of map. Oh, and WRT the great rift in Africa, i learned about it decades ago, as my late mother was a geology hobbyist. She never got a chance to study it officially, but when we lived in Butte MT, the college there was then known as the school of mines, and had an extensive geological lubrary, which was accessible to the public. So, yeah, i learned about it over dinner as a kid, and Im in.my 70s now.

Possibly between 5 to 10 million years before the plates pull far enough apart for a new ocean to form and completely separate one plate from the other. The annual movement is minuscule and meaningless about 0.2 to no more than 0.5 inches per year. In the scheme of things, humanity may be long extinct by the time those plates completely pull apart and a new ocean forms separating them. I believe in the Bible, and what God‘s word has to say, and from all that I’ve seen and read and heard from our biblical scholars, the earth is about 10,000 years. We believe in the creation of heaven, the stars, everything in the heavens, including our planets and earth. And that being said early in the book of Genesis after the flood, it gives lineage of Noah’s sons. And in chapter 10 of Genesis starting with verse 21 through 25 it tails or the earth was divided. I would like to hear from you your thoughts on this, especially if you would read the creation, story started in genesis one, and read the passage I referred to earlier.
