@@peterwallace9764 the so-called north American Bigfoot, is not what we think. These beings are primate in appearance but they have paranormal abilities. They use infra sound to lull their prey to sleep. They can separate from their bodies. They can read your thoughts. These beings are extraterrestrial in nature. They have been around since the days, when this planet was connected to other dimensions (counter earths or multiple earth systems). Their real name is "Quintefellier." They are much more sentient than us (Human Beings). For instance... They know that human beings are multidimensional. And we humans don't even know this about ourselves!

As a 2 tour Vietnam Veteran the only time I saw anything close to these so called Rock Ape was when we almost on the border of Laos and Vietnam. I still say that it was nothing but a oversized Orangutans. We weren't able to shoot at them because we were where we wasn't. Some of you know what that means. This was in 1967 and I had heard the stories of rock apes but never gave it much thought. Until that day when we 3 of us were being hit medium sized rocks and anything else this creatures could throw. I remember it was a very hilly area and some rock cliffs in there. As I said they looked more like reddish or orange colored Orangutans but about 12-18 inches taller and walked on their back legs from what we could see. After about 15-20 minutes they moved on and figured we weren't any danger to them. I saw nothing that resembled the descriptions some have given. And again we had a encounter with the same looking creatures close to Cambodia. I knew they were the same because that was my job to observe and report what I had seen. Other than that I have spent a lot of time in the mountains of Appalachia mountains where I lived for 3 years. I never saw anything that I could really and honestly ID as a BigFoot. I did hear a lot of what I call as log ot tree thumping and some loud screams from deep in the mountain's. Most I ID with a wildcat or a panther. Which will make your skin crawl at the sound until you get used to it. They loved circling the campsite during out 8PM meals. We could see the glowing eyes but never the full size of it. I hope I didn't bore you with my stories... thanks or reading. Have a great day...

So my wife and I were up in the Pacific northwest, drove up from Sacramento for a camping trip. Mt. Rainier was clear, though an occasional, chilly mist rolled in at times. I woke up before daybreak the second morning to the sound of something rustling just outside our camp. Grabbing my flashlight, I walked outside our tent, my wife still asleep. Soon I caught a repulsive, pungent odor, and again I heard the rustling, as if if were closing in on me. I struck my light, quickly scanning as much of my surroundings as I could. Then the rustling turned to obvious footsteps, and the thin light beam caught the dark, hairy, immense creature standing there... it was then that I realized my mother-in-law had somehow followed us up to Washington.

I have only heard one story of the Thai army capturing two in southern Thailand in 1970, but the army claims to have no knowledge of the creatures. I am hoping to locate where these creatures live and do a documentary book on them in whatever countries i can find them, including Vietnam. I have heard there is a race of these creatures in Sumatra but they are only about three foot tall. Hope to hear from you.

My grandad served in Vietnam. I was 3 when he passed from cancer. Much too young to remember him unfortunately. My grandma however would tell us stories of the experiences and stories my grandpa told her, and one of them was his witnessing of hairy ape like creatures that passed through his camp at night. He said they did not crouch, did not hop, but walked upright like a human. His fellow soldiers were with him and saw the same thing, so this was not an isolated sighting by only one person. Very strange but very credible. I always wondered about those stories my grandma passed onto us and watching this video revived this memory.

A buddy of mine who passed away last year, was in the Viet Nam war. He told me about these things his platoon ran into. The best way he could describe them was that they were like Bigfoot or Yetis. They called them Stone apes. The apes would throw rocks at either side and the men who were hit by these rocks would think they were shot, cuz they would hit them so hard they would fall flat on there ass.

In 1976 or 1977 while serving as a Military Policeman in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., a detachment of us were dispatched to the home of a base forrest ranger to investigate strange large animal human-like footprints one dark night. Upon arrival we did indeed witness several of these footprints on the ground in the nearby area. Some of the MPs remarked that perhaps the footprints were a hoax perpetrated by the ranger’s children. A short time later our Liutenant directed me to where our jeeps were parked about 40 yards away to retrieve our portable radio to call in a report of the situation. Needless to say that when I got the jeep I heard a loud thrashing in the woods nearby followed by a loud blood curling animal howl unlike anything I have heard before. Needles to say, I immediately disregarded my task and hastily ran back as fast as I could to the safety of our group of MPs. The Lt. asked if I had completed my assigned directive and I related my hurried military retreat from the scene. The Lt. exclaimed that I looked like as if I had seen a ghost and was trembling. We were all armed with Gov’t Model Colt .45 pistols but somehow that did not make feel safe during this incident! We never saw what made those footprints or yelped that scary howl on that evening. The Lt. said that he would recommend a detail from the forthcoming day shift to return to the area during daylight to investigate further. He asked for a volunteer to help guide the day shift MPs to the area - neither I, nor any of my fellow MPs volunteered to return, No way!! A few days later the Liutenant made light humor out of the situation by issuing me a Letter of Commendation for responding to such a harrowing and “Hairy” encounter! The letter is part of my official Military record.

I worked as a Temp Mail Handler for US Postal Service in 1990. I was 18 at the time. I worked along side quite a few ex marines and other retired military that served in the Vietnam War. At break, they spoke about certain things that happen in Vietnam. A few of those stories were about the Rock Apes. One particular story that one co-worker of mine at the time (Harold) spoke of. He was assigned to a transport Helicopter (Door Gunner). They would fly over a certain path through some hillsides and these rock apes would throw large rocks at the helicopters whenever they flew by. I remember him saying it was as they were waiting for them to fly by to launch these huge rocks at them as it was a frequent fly thru area. I will never forget the things they would talk about. I highly respected these men. These men have been thru Hell and back. Absolutely NO reason for them to lie or make up such things.

In 1973 while attending technical training at Lowery AFB there was a squadron for the rehabilitation of the many Vietnam returnees that were not able to be reestablished into regular military life due to their actions while stationed in Nam. We were treated too many first hand war stories and shown souvenirs that served as a reminder of some battles. One evening a young troop proceeded to tell us the story of his special forces platoon coming in contact with rock apes while retreating back to camp. According to his story a 45 min battle ensued and the gory details were very unimaginable to those of us who were just beginning our military service. The most heart wrenching part of the story was how three members of his platoon was killed by the creatures that seemed to come out of everywhere and only the fact that the creatures had no weapons other than stones and sticks or what ever was available they proceeded to tear into the platoon as if they were the Viet Cong. Until the viewing of this video I'd never considered sharing this story with anyone because it was just so unbelievable but I'm convinced that this young troop's story is very true and very real. Thanks Forgotten History for the opportunity to share this story and hopefully give credit to those many service members who encountered so many unrecorded historical battles that will forever be a part of history. The rehabilitation squadron was the military way of dealing with what is known today as PTSD.

In 1991 I became a California Correctional officer, my 1st partner was a former Marine, Vietnam veteran. After a few months he warmed up enough to where he would tell me war stories. He told me they were on patrol and came across some caves at the base of some giant cliffs, inside one cave they could hear the chatter in which they took for Vietnamese, assuming they were Viet-cong, they yelled into the caves for them to come out, and the chattering got louder. At this time they tossed in a couple of hand grenades and then opened fire into the caves. When they had ceased-fire they entered the cave expecting to find the enemy, but what they found were dead rock apes. He said they had heard about them but had never seen them until now, he said there was about six or eight dead ones, he said they were about 5 1/2 to 6 feet tall but he could not tell if they walked on their hind legs or all fours as the ones he saw were laying dead.

It's amazing how these creatures have been talked about for millenia all over the world. I'm from Manipur, a Northeastern state of India. It's a place where "modernism" has been introduced only after the American missionaries came around the 1905-1910s. Before that, my forefathers were tribesmen who partook in headhunting and lots of rival wars between communities. And yes, we are closer to East and South East Asians than we are to mainland Indians, both genetically and culturally(just google some pictures to see what I mean). Even in the most secluded parts of the state, which to this day people live in mud houses and thatched roofs, stories like these have been reported. Some are flying fire-like orbs(mostly known as 'Kau' but they have different names), some are 'Zomisang' which is pretty much either a "skinwalker" or a bigfoot of some sort. They are known to mimic human sounds and speech, cry for help, make baby-cry noises, etc. which are all characteristics of some Native American Wendigos and Skinwalkers. There's so much more but I can't cover them all in one youtube comment.

My father, SSGT Stephen Gonzalez 173rd Abn, once and only once told my brother and I about a time he and his platoon encountered the rock apes. They were walking through the jungle along a cliff and all of a sudden they started betting pelted by little rocks. The rocks got bigger and started hitting members of his platoon. They looked up and saw "hairy human like" creatures. The creatures started getting more aggressive so the platoon leader ordered them to open fire. As they started firing some of the creatures were hit. Others ran off into the jungle. My dad said there were about 20 of them and they killed a few and injured more. His platoon leader said..."This never happened." They recouped, reloaded and started moving toward their check point. My dad told the story with much more detail. My encounter. I want to say the summer of 89. My younger brother and myself were playing in the woods across the street heading down to my fishing hole in a small creek. By woods I mean the Alaskan bush. Even though housing was going in it was still very wild. I digress. We get halfway down the little hill about 10 feet from my spot. We both stopped dead in our tracks. We both see something black and hairy splishing and splashing trying to catch fish. We couldn't see it immediately due to an old growth birch tree had tipped over and the roots ripped up a 5x5 disk of soil. So the view was partly obstructed. I looked back at my brother his was pale and he was mouth breathing. At first we thought oh crap we are about to startle a black bear. My brother tried to whisper to me the thing stopped and squat down in the creek. Then it slowly stood up and peered over the top of the root mass. It reached out to move a birch sprout growing out of the roots with it's long black fingers. It tilted it's head and looked me dead in the eyes. I caught a flash of red. I saw the strong jaw and cheekbone. Jet black skin. The creek water on his face caught the sun light a little. I was able to make out more of a chimp face. My brother had enough and I knew we were too close. So we ran out of there so fast I puked up a little bit of dinner. We could hear it crashing away in the opposite direction. I glanced over to see it slinking under the criss crossed trees. He was moving low and fast. The trees quaked as it pulled itself through the brush. He was crawling as fast as we were running. Moving like a ghost. His reach was crazy. The fishing hole that thing was standing in was 4ft deep. Which puts him about 9 ft tall. Jet black and lanky. So less Hairy and the Hendersons and more Planet of the apes. Picture a chimp with a big square jaw line like a skunk ape but taller. So not only did I have to worry about moose, bears, and timber wolves, I had to think about this slippery dude. I have nightmares from time to time but the stress of walking home from my friends was so draining as kid. Your footsteps echo of the frozen trees in the dead of winter. It's so haunting. I want to say I caught a glimpse of the thing years later when I was grouse hunting. I was headed back crossing a pretty big meadow. I saw his arm holding onto a tree. As soon as I spotted him he slinked away. The sun was setting and I did not want to be caught out there at night. I beat feet for home. That was the last time I went grouse hunting that way again. I must have been around 15 or 16. The location was Wolf Lake trail. The creek as a small creek that was connected to Anderson Lake. Halfway between Palmer and Wasilla.

Twenty-five years ago, I had a VA patient tell me about the "Rock Apes". So-called because they would throw rocks at the soldiers. He stated they would not shoot at them because it would give away their position. I believe he said they were around 4 ft tall. I didn't think it was unusual as there doesn't seem to be anything odd about apes in the jungle. I did find it somewhat amusing that apes were throwing rocks at soldiers though. He didn't present them as terrorizing but more as being annoying as no one was killed by them.

I used to hear stories about this from my grandma... when you smell a strong rotten order and see a lot of flies, roughly eaten foods. Don't go towards it. When you hear a relative calls your name when you know you are in the middle of nowhere dont go towards it. Thats why you tell your family to not come after you when you go hunting. I also heard a story from an uncle who went hunting one day. He has a little tree stand where he made. He slept there one day, and he saw a big dark shadow walk through the woods. The next thing he knew, he heard sticks cracking below his tree. He went back to lay down and scared. The next thing he realize it's head was looking at him, but it didn't do anything and climb back down and left.

My profile pic is of what I seen in Ontario Canada in 2018, I snuck out of my tent in a moss floor jack pine forest thinking I was going to catch some person playing a prank on me, I couldn’t have been more wrong. As it went to stand upright I snapped a photo and as it stood towering over my 5’9 body, it displayed a shocked expression of uncertainty. It then turned and walked into the darkness with every step sounding over a thousand pound mass pouting into the night. No further interaction has occurred the rest of my trip. I liked the woods better not knowing they are out there but I think it’s important that people know there are more dangers that’s make black bears seem like poodles in comparison.

Gary Linderer is one of the most respected humans, in my opinion at least, to ever report an encounter with a Sasquatch (or similar species) as I have read his novels detailing his time in Vietnam. When people talk of a real man or a tough guy...this gentleman fits the bill to a tee. Mr. Linderer was LRRP (Lurps as they were known) and those men were some of the bravest, toughest and feared soldiers in the Vietnam war. They literally would live in the jungle for weeks doing long-range scouting and recon. If you ever want a good read about the Vietnam War then I definitely suggest purchasing the books of Mr. Linderer. Much respect for Mr. Linderer both for his time served and dedication to this country and to having the guts to speak the truth about what he witnessed in the jungles of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos!!

I think the British and Allied forces had some encounters with similar Orang Mawas or Mawas deep in the Malasian jungles during the Malayan Emergency between 1948-62, but that looks like it has been a secret within the British, Australian and New Zealand MOD's to this day. I am sure ex vets like SAS have some interesting stories of what they experienced and later reported to their superiors after their patrols, not to mention what the MNLA jungle fighters experienced while living in the Malasian jungles.

This is interesting in a way most people would not think of. In World War II, the foo fighters were observed by pilots from every country. In Europe, the Allied pilot though they were some kind German secret weapon and the German pilots thought they were something the Allies had developed. In the Far East, both Japanese and Allied pilots saw the same thing and thought the same thing too. Here, there is the story of some monster that threatens the forces on both sides equally. What have sailors and soldiers in wars that were fought before the age of aviation and steel ships experienced? I don't know, but there must be something.

When our people, the Hmong enter the Southern China and South East Asia border jungle our elders encounter BigFoot like creatures. Our elders call it Mos Hlub. They grab you and snatch you. They have a weird running gait. They can't bend their knee like a human can due to different evolutionary body mechanic design. That if you run downhill they will trip and if you run zig zag they get confused. The bigfoot leans on a tree slanting to avoid detection as the elder says.

My Uncle MIles was in a 101st Airborne L.R.R.P. unit with an Aussie SASR. A night Recon. spotter using a photocathode (starlight device) spotted what looked like a large enemy movement covering a mountain side. These were man sized figures moving like units across the mountains. The next day as they did a spearhead probe, he said they found no enemy but saw glimpses of large dark man sized Apes moving through patchy clearings because of the dense canopy jungle.

There are also stories from the Middle East from soldiers who experienced a giant bipedal creature that lived in caves in the mountains and would feed on humans.

I remember the Vietnam Soldiers coming back to Alabama and were the next generations training Officers talking about Rock Apes and Other things. I didn't believe the stories thought they were trying to scare us. Thank God I missed Vietnam by 1 year.

Im from Ohio and I grew up camping every week in 1 of our big parks. I knew that place like the back of my hand. Still do. I spent my prime years. Was 10-31 now I learned everything about life there. Anyways. I knew everyone. 1 night I had a friend camping with us for the weekend. He brought all his fishing gear and I had mine. We went right down over the hill from all the campers to the boat launch. We would walk that trail at night and day all the time. So we cast and we are sitting there. Being teenagers. And we hear a huge splash and my buddy mentioned how the fish were jumping. I said no way that was huge. Then another big splash. And I kid you not. We look to our left and on the rocky edge of the water is this huge black shadow. Thing was bigger than shaq and we couldn't see what it was and it launches this huge chunk of rock in the air and into the water and that was all I needed. I threw my bottle of coke and took off. Left my skinny buddy in the dust. All the older folks around the fire asked us what was wrong when we came stumbling onto the site. And we told them and they just laughed like we made it up.

I am a Hmong-American born in Laos and became a refugee and came to the US in the late 1970s. I am in my 50s now. There are still millions of Hmong in China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, and many of us Hmong around the world. Many of our parents and the older generation and those that still live in SE Asia often mentioned of a creature we called "Pee - Nyou - Vy" as well.

I hiked so many volcanoes in Nicaragua. My last trip was in Chinandega, where I hiked the Cosiguina Volcano. We stayed with a local family within the Cosiguina town, and that night I hear whooping sounds all night long. That noise could not come from a howler monkey since it sounded bigger and with a bigger lung capacity. I believe the Sisimite roams in Central America's Jungle.

I have spoken to a couple men from Vietnam about this subject..... they would not speak of it. I had the feeling that I asked about a taboo subject. So thanks for your imput. SEMPER FIDELIS

There is a story of a couple who heard their dead cat calling out to the wife through a small window. The cat was found half eaten 3 weeks earlier. Know something was up the husband peared out a nearby window to see a hairy man calling inches away from the tiny window just pearing in. The husband stepped out onto the wrap around porch and blasted him twice before the hairy man leaped from the porch down the hill. The hairman curled into a ball and rolled head first five or six times before sprung up and leapt bounding into the forest. They mimic sounds really well. My story is next though.

There was more to the story as in the sons father did not talk about anything to do with the war afterwards, ever to anyone but the story he told his son after 30 yrs of what he'd seen as he and fellow soldiers were warned not to talk about what'd had happened. Apparently a team of American soldiers were defending their lookout posts with alot of the Vietnamese soldiers near enough surrounding them and an army helicopter flew in and they thought it was to extract them but a big container was lowered

Pt 2 and when on the ground it opened up and a massive dog like thing came out with seemingly a metal collar or something around its neck and it literally tore apart the Vietnamese soldiers and the father telling the story had never forgot the horror of was he was seeing and the screaming and afterwards it went back to the container and was taken away again!!! The son who told this story obviously was more indepth regarding his fathers character etc so it was quite believable...
