No worries about not progressing fast enough. Running into dead ends or failure is part of the fun. The game/Kim has some smart ways to get you back on track if necessary but so far you're doing fine. ...Actually so fine, you should reward yourself. You’ve earned it. That sweet, sweet nectar of the gods. A drink, a cigarette-something to celebrate your prowess. Go on, indulge yourself. You deserve it.

For me at least, all the lore dumps really paid off in this game, as they are both interwoven with the main character's personal history - and perhaps more importantly, because they paint an incredibly vivid picture of a fascinating world with unmatched ambience. I always think it must be hard to really get absorbed in the ambience of a game when you have to worry about things like "is the lighting okay? Is the recording still working? What's happening in chat?".

Yeah, one half of the brain is with the game, the other one monitors all the tech stuff and eyeballs the naughty chatters 👀 But it's okay. I try to take breaks inbetween dialogues, luckily the game let's you manually "continue" with the talking! My biggest "worry" when playing a game like this is always "I want to offer actual content" - not me just running from A to B, trying to find *anything* of interest.. a new NPC, a new area to explore, any kind of progress to be made And if I can't find that, am stuck or lost, I get a bit "salty"

This has been a great series! I hope you feel like you can take your time with it, especially since the line between "main quest" and "side quest" is extremely blurry compared to most games. You never know where a seemingly unrelated conversation or moment of exploration may lead or what it might reveal.

I take my time with it, ye! What I don't enjoy too much in general, all games, is being utterly stuck and having NO clue what to do, who to talk to etc.. that's when I ask my chat for a slight nudge sometimes. Running around with no aim is just not so much my thing. It doesn't happen all the time in this game, but sometimes.

That's one thing I love about DE, there's next to no filler content or (with very few exceptions) NPCs who just say a single line or two. Everything feels meaningful, and _everyone_ you meet is memorable. That's quite the achievement.

As in, you can still function as a cop when you smoke, opposing to being drunk on the job. I know that cigs kill more folks than alcohol. Both suck, to be fair.
