यवन जनपद प्राचीन भारत का एक जनपद था. यहासे अनेक लोक , व्यापार, राजकीय कामकाज,सैन्य भरती या अन्यकारणोसे क्रीट (बाद में ग्रीक ) देश में बसे.उनका यवन जनपद से सांस्कृतिक रिश्ता कुछ मात्रा में कायम था . इनमेसे कुछ लोक वासुदेव (कृष्ण) को मानने वाले थे. अलेक्झांडर की माता से लोगोकी वंशज थी. ऐसे वंशजोमे एक राजा जिसने भारतपर आक्रमण किया और विदीशा में वासुदेव मूर्ती स्थापित की. कहेने का मतलब ये है की हमारे यवन जनपद से गये लोक कालांतर में वहा के हुए आऔर ग्रीक बनके फिर यहाँ आये.
