Nice, livable house, well cared for and a good layout.

Aside from the few spots where idiots ripped out the copper pipes and wiring, this house looks like it's in mint condition. Definitely well-maintained like you said. It almost pisses me off people buy these homes, demolish them and replace them with new construction that will probably start falling apart after a couple years. If I bought a house like this I'd totally move in, and keep everything as original as possible! Another great vid, Ethan, keep 'em coming!

I appreciate you opening "odd" cupboards, like the corner unit in the kitchen. I want to design and build my own tiny home someday and storage is always an issue. It's nice to see how corners and other otherwise "lost" space can be reclaimed for storage. So, from one viewer for sure, thank you!

Scrapping copper 20:31 isn't as 'lucrative' as it once was, with PEX (plastic) water supply piping's widespread use in new home construction today. You're right, Ethan, the amount of scrap copper you'd have to gut from old homes isn't worth the effort (or risk) anymore!

Wonderful house, Ethan. Shame that houses these days aren't made like they were back then. Kitchen was awesome. A dream home doesn't have to be massive. Looks like it was well kept in its hay day. The little odds and ends of what you know comes from different eras of house building and design is impressive. See you on the next one!

Ethan most of the homes that you have shown on your KZbin channel is a home that I wouldn’t mind having, back in the day they were built at that time era with more sturdy and secure Materials when it comes down to it not a lot of plastic or particleboard stuff that they’re using nowadays it’s real wood and real marble or granite whatever but anyways any one of these home especially this one this is a really nice home and it was taken care of. I wouldn’t mind having it that’s for sure but thank you for sharing you take care and be safe.🫶🏻🤠

Hi Ethan This house is a house I wouldn’t mind living in. Except for that second basement where the pool table was. That was dark and creepy. I wouldn’t have had the courage to walk thru there for fear of squatters. The silver you found down there was so tarnished. They need a bottle of Tarnex. Nice layout. The yard was huge and I’m surprised they did not have a swimming pool.🏊♀️ I hope they take that beautiful China cabinet. It may be old but still useful. The house was pretty clean too. Well thank you Ethan for showing us around today. Stay safe and well.👍🆒 There are sometimes couches🛋️left behind but there are always creepy chairs🪑 left behind. This one had a bed🛏️too.

The stealing of copper pipes happens here in Australia too, including in new homes being built. They obviously still get good money for it or else they wouldn't steal it, they have even been known to rip telecommunication cables out of the pits. This is a nice house in good condition apart from the vandalism, what a waste.

A beautiful late mid-century home in wonderful condition. The only problem, as with most moderately upscale 'ranch' style homes of the era, the design was 'big box, with many boxes inside'. Meaning: very little to no flow, bordering on claustrophobic! 🤣'Open concept' design didn't occur until the following decade, with 'cathedral' ceilings and fewer walls. So, while it seems a crime to demolish this place, its design aesthetic is simply outdated and unappealing to home buyers of who are used to the open concept design now prevalent in new century homes.

People still buy this retro silver plated stuff here. Could get more money for this little coffee pot, milk&sugar (maybe 80€ depends on age and the stamps) than for some copper pipes. Copper is about 6€ per kilogram and we have lots of copper thieves out there. They even steal wiring from our train tracks by cutting the cables. We used to have copper gutters at our roofs. They often steal them over night, now we use zinc. They even steal bronze ornaments from cemeteries. Guess in our house they would take our fire place cladding. Wood burning fireplace, red brick and a huge copper cover from mantle to ceiling from 1964..
