What I hope a lot of people, especially younger ones realise is that this doesn't require expensive tools but just creativity, a straight edge, and a lot of stuff you could probably get from a dollar store.

Thank you Craig!! I 100% agree. I think the most important think is imagination. I have watched videos where beautiful objects were made from cereal box cardboard and craft paint. Thank you so much for watching!!

Another amazing build! I love all the details and the interesting shapes you used in this one, and the astronaut investigating it was a really nice touch. Again, I'm really impressed that so much of this was scratch-built with styrene, and it looks just gorgeous lit up with that pulsing blue light. You do really beautiful work - thanks for uploading, and I'm looking forward to the next installment of your space adventure.

So what does this ancient alien artifact do ?!
@CosmicQuestHobbies6 ай бұрын
Hey Michael, thanks for watching. I added "satellite" to the title. This is kind of a part to a imagined story of the crew of my Pathfinder research vessel build. The going thought by those on the vessel and engineers back at CQH Aerospace is that this is a type of communication relay satellite. Thanks for your question😊

You might want to look into reed switches that are switched by magnets in proximity. You can then dedicate a greebly with an embeded magnet as your switch, completely invisible.

Awesome alien satellite sir!! The paint choice is perfect and that pulsing energy source 💙 is amazing! The only thing I'd have done differently would have been to add an open panel to show an access point. (Though I guess this was to point in the story just before the Pathfinder's scientist had reached the artefact.) Impressive skills here, so had to subscribe and I am looking forward to more content. 👍👍 Off to watch more of your videos.

Great work!! You must spend a fortune on styrene sheets. If I were you I'd just go buy "for sale" signs. I usually get mine at Walmart, but you can find them anywhere.
@CosmicQuestHobbies6 ай бұрын
Thank you DavidMiller!! I will have to check into those "for sale" signs for sure. That's a great idea!! I actually bought a bunch of styrene from a company called Piedmont Plastics. I was able to buy about 40-50 sheets of 12"x24" styrene in various thicknesses. I had to buy $75 worth to get free shipping but I got a lot! I should have enough for a couple more models. Unfortunately, they stopped doing online sales so I will need to look around for different sources now. I'll definitely look into your tip 😊

But what an amazing concept combined with a great artistic talent. An old alien satellite appears in our solar system, with only God knows how many, many secrets and info about the alien species who built it (like the Voyager). Maybe a big satellite type S.O.S sonda with all the information about an alien race in the edge of extinction. But, do we get it on time for them? You see... you make my mind flying. Good concept for a great artistic talent.
@CosmicQuestHobbies2 ай бұрын

I very much enjoyed this build and I'm very envious of the 'parts' boxes you have . May I be so bold and ask if you plan to add any form of markings or Alien text ?
@CosmicQuestHobbies6 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! It's funny you ask about the alien text or markings. I had originally planned to put some on the satellite model but I was getting antsy to get the model done so I could get the video done and posted. I am planning to create some kind of alien language, or markings, to possibly put on future models however. I got those parts bins from a local Harbor Freight and spent some time tying to get all the bits in order. Collecting all that stuff seems like a never ending process, lol. Thank you for watching the video. 🙂

Really enjoyed your model making video, and I much prefer the music used from 18:30 onward. However the music used during the majority of the build feels like I am caught on a gameshow endless loop with a timer ticking down and I couldn't stand it (ngihtmare), so kept skipping ahead. I understand how it would complicate things to select music to fit each edit, so selecting one that endlessly loops is easier, but I couldn't handle it. You have great attention to detail, so I hope this detail isn't overlooked. Thanks for making great content, but IMOP this is one area it could improve. Everything else I love.
