If he was dyslexic, then he was, without a doubt, the most highly functional dyslexic ever. Aside from his incredible intelligence and his phenomenal artistry, he was also capable of writing with both hands on different subjects and in two different languages. I would argue that he was the furthest thing from a dyslexic and was just too intelligent for anyone to put him in any standard class.

Not at all. Anyone the can invent 1000s of things, write with both hands, and different languages at the same time, has to be intelligent on a higher level. I just think they haven't looked at his work in his way. Trying to figure out something from 500 years ago, in our modern day perspective won't work.

The secret to the Da Vinci code, the Last Supper and ancient symbols is the sun, high low and where the horizon appears visually. Most people live North of the Equator and when facing the rising sun, the higher summer sun rises to the left of East and the lower winter sun rises to the right of straight East. So the ancients placed symbols for high on the left and low on the right like the bird and snake we see on the Eye of Horus and on King Tut's crown. In the Last Supper the people on the left half of the table appear calm while the right half of the table appears confused.. again metaphors for high (knowledge) on the left and low on the right.

Its a woman. You can tell by the way in which her head is tilted. He always painted women with that tilt and direction and men he painted with their heads in the opposite direction. Its true I swear lol I saw a docu on it and they went over that. The heads of women are tilted to the left and men heads are tilted to the right.

I know people say it's Mary in the Last Supper painting, I can see why. It's suppose to be John the Apostle. And yet, look at the painting carefully. I know the paint is worn away. But every figure in the painting looks rushed. All except the figure that's suppose to be John. That one looks like more care was used to get it correct. Also, Leonardo understood about posture. So why is John positioned in such a feminine way. I don't agree with conspiracy theories. But there has to be more going on than what we see. Also, I agree, why would a painter be in on such a huge secret like Mary being Jesus' wife. I think the figure is Mary. But as Jesus's favorite or best apostle. All the other figures look clearly male. Why would one figure look so feminine.

Only in English is the painting called the Mona Lisa. So trying to explain its meaning through examination of its English title is misguided. The true name of the painting is La Joconde, in French. Leonardo was living in France at the time of its completion in 1517. I am struck by how people claim that one of the people in this painting looks like it could be Mary and claim that it is confirmation of something. Maybe Leonardo de Vinci did think that Mary should be someone important, I mean I do, but that doesn't mean anything. We really don't know anything. There are only four books in the new testament and yet there were eleven official deciples. We know that there were other books but a group of men decided on these four because it fit their narrative of the story they wanted to tell.

I love the story of the last supper. This story was written about about 500 years after the death of Julius Caesar, but the story of Jesus was portrayed in a peaceful setting while the one from Julius Caesar was Historically that of violence. The painting in Egypt does not represent Jesus but Moses saved by Pharaoh's daughter, the battle scene represents the persecution of the Jewish people by Pharaoh... The drawings underlying the paintings have nothing special about them... All painters project first drafts before embarking on a painting... These are only sketches ... It was rare to redo a new painting because the frame and the canvas were very expensive at the time ! The two identical paintings are surely the same order... There's also been some (somewhat plausible) theories that the figure of St. John in The Last Supper, who some say to be Mary Magdalene, is actually Leonardo's young apprentice and lover, Gian Giacomo Caprotti da Oreno (known as "Salai"). Leonardo was extremely in love with Salai, and depicted him in many of his other paintings, sometimes disguised as females. He was apparently beautiful and charming, but also thieving and mischievous. After an infrared scan scholars found that under the initial layer of paint around Jesus' and St. John's hand, their actually subtly touching each other's hands. Some believe that Leonardo painted this due to the fact that St. John was known as "The Beloved Apostle", although perhaps he thought it was too risque and upfront for the church. But nonetheless, according to other portraits of Salai the figure of St. John fits his features perfectly, and it's highly plausible that it was actually modelled after him...and maybe even Leonardo wanted to include a romantic gesture towards him.

From what I have read De Vinci was more than likely left handed. If he was also dislexsive then that would only compounded his writing and spelling styles. Cheers
