The King Who Slept for a Million Years -- TALE OF KING MUCHKUND -- ------------- And when he woke up - The story narrates that he was astonished to see all creatures had shrunken in size over time while he rested in a cave, indicating long ages gone by. ------------ According to Hindu mythology, Muchukunda was an ancestor of Sri Rama, who belonged to Treta Yuga. Sri Krishna appears towards the end of Dwapara Yuga. King Muchukunda was born in the Ikshvaku dynasty during Satya Yuga. He was brave and brilliant war strategist. The Devas (deities) and the Asuras (demons) were constantly at war. In one such conflict, the Devas were outnumbered and were on the verge of defeat when they asked Muchukunda to fight on their side. Muchukunda agreed and the battle between the Devas and the Asuras stretched on and on for many years. Muchukunda was so caught up in the battle that he forgot everything else. Every day was just a bloody battle between the Devas and the Asuras and nothing more. Later when the devas got Kartikeya,the son of Lord Shiva as their commander, Indra approached Muchukunda and asked him to ask for a boon for the services rendered by him. Muchukunda recollecting his wife, his children and his family said 'Devendra, Now that you do not need my services, I think I should get back to my family and my kingdom'. Lord Indra unhappily told him that the time of the Devaloka is different from the time on earth. A few years spent on Devaloka is equavalent to many centuries on earth. All his family,kingdom he had has gone and nothing is left for him. Muchukunda looked blankly at Indra. Then Indra asked him for any other boon. Muchukunda was so tired that he asked for the boon of sleep and whosoever woke him up, should be burnt to ashes. ( With Muchkund’s help,the gods had defeated the demons and thus pleased had asked him to seek a boon. Muchkund then had sought a boon of seeing God in tangible form. The gods had assured him that he would have a sight of God in Dwapar Yuga. Since Dwapar Yuga was still far away, so Muchkund had asked: “What should I do till then?” The gods asked him to sleep somewhere and blessed him with a boon that whoever waked him up would be incinerated at once, by his glance. Thus, in order to get Kalyavan incinerated and show Muchkund with his Divine form, Lord had gone to that spot where Muchkund was sleeping. ) Muchkund got the sight of God in Chaturbhuj form; and seeked a boon of continuous devotion for three births. Having received the boon from Indra, Muchukunda, went down to earth and found himself a cave and went off to sleep.( Lord Indra granted him the boon he sought. Muchukunda then slept for generations through the rise and fall of empires. ) Several centuries later, during the times of Lord Krishna, there was a Yavana warrior named Kalayavan who was undefeated in battles due to a boon he had received by the gods. He waged a war on Mathura and decided to face Krishna in a battle. When the two armies came face to face, Krishna started walking off the battle field. Kalayavan followed him from the field, till he saw Krishna entering into a cave. Krishna found the sleeping Muchukunda, and spread his upper garment on him and hid himself. When Kalayavan entered the dark cave, he could not see anything, and when he noticed Krishna’s garment. He tugged on to it and woke up Muchukunda. As soon as Muchukunda, opened his eyes, Kalayavan was reduced to ashes, thus bringing an end to the terror he had unleashed. Muchukunda then saw Krishna and immediately realised that this was none other than Lord Vishnu. When Muchukunda came out of the cave, he noticed that it had indeed been a long time since he was sleeping and he found that men had become a lot shorter since his time. He realised that he was a misfit in the world, so on the advice of Krishna, he went towards the North to the Gandamadana Mountains to do penance to attain moksha. ( in Indian mythology, there was always this belief that time works differently across realms. A year in the realm of the gods is equivalent to many years in the realm of the humans.)

Hey there. Great to see someone is speaking about the Yugas not as a million something year cycle (thinking kali would be `430,000 years. God help us) but as the 24,000 year cycle. The first person to accurately clarify this was, of course, Swami Sri Yukteswar, in his book "Holy Science". But there is a little correction I would like to add to this video (sorry for being a troll), which you probably won't want to hear. The Kali Yuga reached its lowest point (meaning that period where the descending kali ended and the ascending kali began) in the year 500 AD. And, historically, that lines up more accurately with world events. most historians would agree that during that period, the human consciousness was at the lowest point it had ever been. In fact 550 AD was considered the worst year in recorded history. Then as you follow the ascension process of humanity pulling out of the kali, we see the renaissance in 1500, followed by the discovery of electricity in 1600s and the gradual use of electricity in 1700s onward. When humanity becomes aware of forces more subtle than matter, that is one distinct "marker" of the dwapara yuga creeping into influence. The chaos that we are seeing right now is the last "shacking free" of ALL Kali Yuga energy. The last little bits of Kali are "digging in" and resisting. And the mess that is created is pretty typical of what we are seeing right now. Remember those transition periods that bookend each yuga cycle. Kali has 100 years of transition on both of its ends. during those periods of time the new yuga (or old yuga) are still present to some degree. in roughly 1900, we entered Dwapara Yuga proper. That means we got out of the tranistion period from Kali to Dwapara consisting of a 100 year kali transistion and an additional 200 year Dwapara transition, and are now in pure Dwapara Yuga. But these are rough estimates. I believe, in practice, we are see the Kali Yuga hanging on a little longer, and are only NOW seeing that last shake up (like a wet dog shaking of the last bit of dirty water) to get all of Kali out of here.

Strangely I believe the million year theory and 24000 years theory can be both correct. The catch is time is a relative concept in Sanatan. The 24000 years cycle is applicable for our earth perception while million years concept is for the Universe. We know that our Galaxy Milkyway is also moving around a mysterious center and that's from where the million years concept comes. But for human lifespan the 24000 years cycle is more applicable

From what I understand, the larger cycle IS in a kali Yuga. that would make all the smaller Yuga's that we go through right now the lowest of each. So this last kali yuga that we came out of was, in a sense, a "double Kali". The thing most people do not understand is that the cycles that effect our consciousness the most are the ones that are governed by our duel star (which scientist do not believe in yet). The duel star is not providing the cosmic energy that gives us a rise and fall of consciousness, but the motion it puts us in -- moving closer and further away from the grand center -- is what creates this change in our spiritual capacities.

I believe they're also disinterested in metaphysical or cosmic discussions and anything that is not main stream. I haven't found one to match my thought process or interests. It's probably indian girls are too tied down with social conditioning and unsafe environment and have no platform to bloom into a full fledged personality that can be attractive.

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, right before he passed a few years ago stated that kailyuga would end between 2020 and 2025. He also said that his work over 50 years to teach TM to 6 million people had sped up the decline of the Kaliyuga and hastened emergence of Satyuga.

Oh, and another thing you are getting wrong: The time span of the yugas is not equal. Kali proper is 1000 years, whether descending or ascending, with a 100 year transition on both ends. and as we know, the descending and ascending kali's butt up against each other. this means the total kali "experience" is 1200 years + 1200 years = 2400 years. Then you add a thousand years for each yuga as well as a hundred years for each transition. so this ascending yuga experience that we are going through right now will look like this. Dwapara is 2000 years + two 200 year transitions. so one Dwapara Yuga with its two transitions is 2400 years. Treta is 3600 years. Satya is 4800 years. If you do the math, with the lowest point being 500 AD you see that the Younger Dryas period happened around 12,000 years ago, right when the world was in the middle of a descending satya yuga. That is when "Atlantis fell". Of course, as Gram Handcock tells us, Atlantis probably was in decay over 1000s of years. If you peer into the cultures of ancient Egypt you can see remnants of a higher age treta knowledge that was descending. And the ancient Greeks were a perfect example of descending Dwapara Yuga. They obviously had high mindedness, strong morals, love for knowledge and truth, but it was descending more and more, until we get to the Roman era which was well into Dwapara on the cusp of Kali descending... it really all lines up. This is one of Sri Yukteswars great contributions to the world.

According to many reputable Yogis and high level Indian sages / mystics Kali Yuga ended a while back we are currently in the end of Dwapara Yuga and in 2082 we will enter Tetra Yuga 2082. The yogi Sri Yukteshwar corrected the Indian calendar that was changed by Brahmins in error. He writes about it in his book the Holy Science composed in 1894. Even Parmahasa yogananda states this, and so does Sadhguru from Isha foundation. Mainstream Brahmin based Hindu sects believe it’s Kali Yuga but the mystic yogis don’t say that they say it’s Dwapara Yuga.

The Activities of Lord Ṛṣabhadeva This chapter tells how Lord Ṛṣabhadeva left His body. He was not attached to His body even when it was being burned up in a forest fire. When the seed of fruitive activity is burned by the fire of knowledge, the spiritual properties and mystic powers are automatically manifest, yet bhakti-yoga is not affected by these mystic powers. An ordinary yogī is captivated by mystic powers and his progress checked; therefore a perfect yogī does not welcome them. Due to a restless mind, even a very advanced yogī can fall down. The mind is so restless that it induces even a perfect yogī to be controlled by the senses. Therefore Lord Ṛṣabhadeva, for the instruction of all yogīs, showed the process of quitting the body. While traveling in South India, through the provinces of Karṇāṭa, Koṅka, Veṅka and Kuṭaka, Lord Ṛṣabhadeva arrived in the neighborhood of Kuṭakācala. Suddenly there was a forest fire that burned the forest and Lord Ṛṣabhadeva’s body to ashes. The pastimes of Lord Ṛṣabhadeva as a liberated soul were known by the King of Koṅka, Veṅka and Kuṭaka. I came across another channel @Jivanmukti apparently she has been teaching about this all for over a decade through her own example, and shared similar spiritual insights in depth. Her prediction years ago speaks about the end of Kali Yuga within the period of 2020-2027. Maybe you should interview her. She seems to possess very rare knowledge not only as information but as frequency. I think her teaching is that of higher eras that your guest is speaking about. Satya-treta-dwapara-Kali-dwapara-treta-satya This way human consciousness will slowly evolve from kali to satya . And slowly deteorite from Satya to Kali. As per Sadguru we have already passed Kali and Now we are in dwapara and slowly we will evolve to tretha and sathya.

Im no expert on Yuga’s or History. I just step back and take into consideration the current state of humanity and think about what the Kali Yuga brings. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. Humanity is cooked and it seems we are more in Kali Yuga rather Dvapara. Materialism is at an all time high, political situation is atrocious especially here in Australia. Spirituality is used for social or wealth gain rather than true enlightenment. Then take in what scientists are saying, we are overdue for a big earthquake to pop, we just entered the solar maximum with potential for a carrington event, crustal displacement is still a potential too.

The minor Yuga cycle lasts for twenty-six thousand years. According to Indian scriptural understanding and Yukteswar Giri, we are/have moved into Dwapar Yuga according to the Mini Cycle of Yugas.
