*I worked as security supervisor for a airline back in 2009 & I must say there were many loopholes in security at the airport. Luckily there were no such incidents happened, but I'm still concerned about it now. Although I'm not working at the airport, but I'm sure there are few loopholes still there. Hope govt will improve it over the time. Security check is very monotonous job & sometimes security personnel overlook few things.*

Hijacking also didn't happen again because we have a law now called the Anti-hijacking law. Something along the lines of " we will not release any more prisoners on any hijacking attempt" also was said but I didn't find that under this act.

Its just my thoughts- As you said that a lot of VIPs got the information of hijacking by TV which you presented as blunder is actually very sensible move because if the plane got hijack from a Secure Airport that those Hijackers must had some good connection, even in the Indian government so, they did the right thing to not to trust every other person.

The cabin crew individuals were wonderful and they were in the same danger as we were and they also quietly told me of their worry of not earning their pay for their family support while the plane was on the ground and that was causing added worry. As I promised, I did make this fact known before I left the country (they deserved their pay for those days). Flight crew was outstanding in what they could control, and the captain was really a hero with his skill and appearing calmness. Thank you entire crew! And thank you creator of this video. The event really altered history.

The person that died was not due to stabbing but a minor attack due to stress and hijackers tried to save him but alas he died and with frustration one of them starting hitting him on chest...My Uncle was a part of that hijacked plane and he has so much to tell abt experience!
