the ramayan is there in buddhist books of triptak.... jatak katha of buddhism.... it was originally buddhist stories of past lives. the reason it is there in thailand is because after the birth of king ashoka... as after around 200 years after buddha died... after knowing about buddhism, he sent his childrens and students all around asia from india.... thats why all these stories are similar because it had been in around year 3. B C. buddhas death.. and after 1000 years.... the whole india was buddhist at that time... but later on it starting fading away.... and completely got wiped out.... bud buddhist culture and stories stayed in china, shrilanka, thailand,myanmar,etc
