Mystery of the day: the 1986 Devilfish came with two black hoses. Did the 1989 Tiger Fish also come with these hoses?

To add some more fuel to the fire: I purchased a Tiger Fish new in the early 1990's from a department store that was going out of business (they had old stock that they tossed out on the shelves when they were liquidating). I opened it, assembled it myself and then once my toy-playing days were over it went into storage. I recently started going through my old Joe stuff for insurance purposes and found my old Tiger Fish. Mine does indeed have the 2 black hoses.

So here's a weird thing. I just bought a Tiger Fish. The stamp on the bottom shows that it was made in Brazil. It does have the hoses. It's a loose sample, so it's likely a previous owner added the hoses at some point, but it makes me wonder, did some international samples include the hoses? I just think it's weird that this one has the hoses, particularly when they're the right kind of hose and cut to that specific length. No other vehicle had quite the same two little hoses. I can't really find any information to verify it either way. Information about international stuff is kind of a black hole sometimes.

Loose specimens are unreliable data points. "Tiger Force mega-collector Gordon Mayfield opened four sealed contents Tiger Fish boxes (including US and European versions) and he confirmed that hoses were not included." Can Devilfish tubes be attached to a Tiger Fish?

Yes, they can. The Devilfish mold is the same as the Tiger Fish, the Tiger Fish simply didn't include tubes.

yes they came with them but if you didn't get yours then you should try to find some I have then on mine :)

Rob Culp the original 1986 Devilfish did have hoses, the 1989 Tiger Fish hoses did not make it through production.
