I said 'Cup and Circle' but I meant 'Cup and Ring'. The link in the video description gives further information about these strange markings that are found on ancient rocks all over the planet. Thanks again to John for letting me know about this. Enjoy! 🌹

Excellent Vlog, I live 5 mins drive down the road in Cressington. My wife’s mum and dad lived in Grassendale and I have drove past that 100s of times. Never realised it might have been part of the park stones cause them stones have carvings on them. I’ll have to take a walk and look at this stone. Keep up the a great work

Growing up I used to live not far from there, just off Mather Avenue Liverpool 19, I know that stone well. Also not far from there, in the 80's, used to be the Allerton Supper Bar a great chippy, that made lovely chips, thick n soggy as I recall. Nice area of Liverpool and I miss it...

Interesting video about the ancient stones! Thanks! They used to call that avenue: ‘Mother Booker Avenue’!!! No idea why? A video about Calderstones Park would be interesting?

This is an example of when all Englishmen by law had to practice archery on the town green. This will be the stone they used to sharpen their arrow heads.
@ScouseFarmАй бұрын
Could very well be just that my friend. Maybe this was the Tesco Finest Stone and that's why Robin Hood trotted up this way to sharpen his arrows :) Thanks for watching, and thanks for the information.

I have no idea my friend, I know there are a few in Calderstones Park but I've not looked into it yet. I might go for a walk around there on a sunny day in Spring. Glad you enjoyed the video, have a read of the articles in the video description, those Cup and Ring carvings are fascinating.

That would have been some trip from Nottingham to Liverpool to sharpen arrows, perhaps Robin Hood had a friend affording him discount at the Greenhills too. I’ve seen the movie where he arrives at the white cliffs of Dover at dawn and covers a distance exceeding two hundred miles to Nottingham before dusk…… assuming he employed the same mode of transport, the mere one hundred and thirty four miles to Liverpool would be viable with an overnight stay. Very interesting and informative, my grandfather showed me tat when he lived in the police houses in North Grove in the 1970s and I thought he was fooling me when he advised me that Robin Hood sharpened his arrows there, it was only when I took Terry to see it in or around 1995 that I read the plate on the base that I realised that he hadn’t invented the legend to entertain me and for his own amusement. Terry viewed the tale with the same contempt that I did. Another great video, thanks for sharing mate. 👍

Sorry to hear about your Time Machine MOT failure, good job the Arriva Time Machine still runs as the number 8 & 9 bus, I used to drive that and travelled back thirty years a number of times daily. I knew the Bronze Age differed dependant upon where you are in the world, some places are yet to reach it and other places are heading back there….. 😂😂

Because they all spread out from the same point where they crossed into the middle east from africa.. It is not even mysterious. We are all relatives.
@ScouseFarm27 күн бұрын
Many cultures in history had absolutely no contact with others on opposite sides of the earth for many thousands of years. There are countless artifacts, drawings, religions, beliefs, that have similar or the same origin legends from ancient Russia and China, down to South America and what is now frozen Antarctica. 'If' a primitive species spread out from a single point (Africa) at the dawn of human existence, they did so as primitives and would not be capable of so much of what has been discovered. That is mysterious to me. Thanks for watching.
