I have the 2 day pack. It is my city commute bag. bus, trains, walking subway etc for the past 2.5 years. I know it is not the same as the 3day, but very adjustable 5'11 220lbs. to my frame. Rain, snow, heat. A really good bag. I've used Cannea, Timbuk2 is also great.

Thanks for the detailed review. I am considering the 2 and 3 day assault packs. Primary use is for day hikes with distant walks to fly fish in Alaska and the Rockies. I need to carry my wading boots, waders, jacket, camera, small tripod, trekking poles. water, food and a few beverages. The cost difference is significant. I hear the 2 day pack has issues with the waist straps lacking padding. That and the additional volume may be why i may go with the 3 day… I have not seen the 2 day, but i think it may be too small and limit my use… Your thoughts? Thanks!

I really liked your review on the Mystery Ranch 3-day backpack. I think it hits all the key points that are important to the majority to potential owners. It may not be for everyone, but if you need a well designed and constructed backpack, then here's an option to consider. Thank you!

When it matters I go for my 3DAP, it’s been around the world with me, hiking and hunting. I just wish they made a 3DAP slick with no Molle on it for everyday use around the city.

@@roddenby I have always thought the same and have been taught the same. However, I've noticed that changing over the last couple years. Maybe it's all the guys coming back from overseas theaters, but molle packs are everywhere. Heck, even college campuses nowadays are crawling with them. As an aside, I rarely see the larper actually using the molle, except for the carabiner. All that said, any criminal specifically targeting someone with a molle pack might wanna consider the wearer has encountered dudes worse than them....

I think it is one of those industry accepted acronyms - let's call all packs that are about 40-45 liters a 3 days assault pack. There is NO WAY you can carry all you need for a 3 days continuous high intensity assault for 3 days without resupplying :)

Honestly the 3 day pack is perfect for my needs. My needs center around a get gone pack. 3 days of Food and water with the ability to replace water as I go. A small seasonal sleeping system, ifak, rain gear, extra undies and socks, map compas, fire kit. It has Ben an large Alice pack but the mystery ranch 3 day seems like the correct pack for me!

So there is this guy's small shop in Russia called "demych gear bakery". I don't know how or where he gets them, but he sells absolutely identical clones of mystery ranch bags. I have this 3 day assault but from him in ATACS FG. That camo is the main reason I went with him. But what blows me away is the cost difference. The bag is absolutely identical in material and construction to the mystery ranch, but he sells it for 200 bucks plus 60 to ship it to the states. That's a huge price difference, idk how he does it, they have to be made in the same factory. There's no other way. But I highly recommend his stuff for anyone that wants the same quality for a third the cost. He does the 2 day as well. I have a short on my channel on it.
@genripper-b8q2 ай бұрын
he lives in russia is how he does it. 200 american dollars in an economy that is flat lining and entirely dependent of the government investing in production of war materials is serious bank. why the fu(k you are putting money into the hands of people aiming to recapture former satellite states that have been sovereign nations for the last 30 years is a 'mystery to me. never mind the genocide on Ukraine.

Any lower then the 30 ish pounds feels good. It has all common adjustments belt, sternum strap and load lifters. For a daily tactical pack it would excel and maybe a minimum overnight bag.

Thx for the vid, I have a question that popped up on another channel. When you go to the armory an draw your weapons, what is the procedure now, an issued ammo allotment per shift. Myself an others were commenting about how it was done in the 70's, but things change. 1. We had a weapons card we turned in when we pulled from the armory, 2. I had a M16 ammo pouch that I remember on my web gear filling with 3 issued mags, plus the 1 in the rifle, don't remember more than that, but this was in the early 70's, what do you guys do now ? Thx Bro
@PreparedAirman2 жыл бұрын
We run plate carrier currently and we take them home with us at the end of each duty day. Ammo and weapons are still in the Armory. But the amount of ammo and type of weapon depends on your posting location per day. It can very greatly depending on your post and even base. Unfortunately I can't give specifics 🤫 due to OPSEC..
