I just ordered the 40L last night. I recently decided to upgrade my camera kit.. so with the larger lens and wanting to still carry odds and ends, i.e. lunch.. My Osprey 30L just isn't going to cut it. With the camera and a 50mm lens on it, the 70-200mm and the 200-500mm the Osprey is FULL. I have a Blackhawk pack from 2003, but I really don't like the old digital camo, reminds me too much of being back in the Army LOL

I run with 2” x 8” clear tubes for all my med supply’s they fit in the hydration pouch . Plus you can see what you need .

I bought a Mystery Ranch Rip Ruck 15 and I love it. The best thing about it is the way it carries, it’s so comfortable. But now I’m getting into outdoor photography and want to carry more gear including a small tripod so I need a little more space. Yeah Mystery Ranch is expensive, but I’m retired and have the money and based on my experience with the RIp Ruck and your review of the Coulee I think I’m going to get it. You have been such a great resource in my back pack journey! I like the outside of the coulee 25 was hoping this was the one for me. Looks a little small for a 25, I know it’s in close to your sweet spot range. I want the laptop space but don’t love the silhouette of the UA 24, 2DAP has maybe a little too much molle. Been eying this pack for awhile so I appreciate the in depth and honest review. My intended use is for short traveling trip, so I’m curious if anyone has tried that. For reference I’d be upgrading from an 18L pack with a subpar harness system, which was my main draw to this bag along with the access feature.
