I love this pack. Used it the last 4 years and it’s super comfortable and tons of storage. Great features.

I have the original Gregory (Day and a half) pack and I love it! It is faded, but still very functional. The Pintler pack has me thinking about an upgrade, it has some great features that make it more versatile and comfortable for an old fart like me!

New to hunting, planning my first trip out west next year, will probably do a guided hunt for the first one with plans to learn and grow into DIY public lands. What is an all around day pack for size and versatility for someone just getting started, yet can expand / grow as I become more knowledgable. Thanks for the advice. The videos are awesome to see! The Mystery Ranch Metcalf is a great all-around pack! With it being 4,333 cubic inches it can do just about anything from day hunts to multiple days on the mountain. You can check it out here: shop.gohunt.com/products/mystery-ranch-metcalf-backpack?_pos=1&_sid=0f3b9ffab&_ss=r

What do you think of the terraframe zip-3 50 for a hunting pack.

Good review. These are starting to show up for 275-300 new because Mystery Ranch is supposed to be updating the frame. I'm looking for something to day hunt with that can pack out a mule deer. Its this or the Exo Mountain 1800. The Exo looks like its got better shoulder straps and waist belt and is also about 1.2 pounds lighter but its also $585.00. In the end I'll probably go Exo cause you only spend the money once, unless you're me and you buy stuff you don't really need. Still, good review though. That plastic piece is the same thing Bowtech makes their limb pockets out of. Ha Ha.

Im really stuck between the Pintler and the Sawtooth 45. Is the difference in material (Pinter- 500d) and (Sawtooth-330d) a big difference in durability? I kinda like the 270 zipper on the Sawtooth but the slightly smaller size of the Pinter. Any suggestions from experience with both??

Did you end up getting one of those packs?

Would you go with pintler or pop 38
@GOHUNT4 жыл бұрын
Both are great packs. Just depends on what you are looking to do with the pack. The Pintler is going to be a more rugged pack that can handle more weight due to it being on the new Guide Light Frame where the Pop Up is on a frame with a load capacity of 80lbs. If you're doing more elk hunting then the Pintler might be a little better. If you're needing something for antelope or deer, then the Pop Up 38 might be a good option.
