From my understanding, their last few phones are actually sealed to an equivalent of ~IP67. They just do not pay to have them certified, as that would increase the cost by around $50. IP ratings are not a generic thing you can freely slap onto a product. You need to send a sample device in to a 3rd party to be tested and certified, then pay some sort of licensing fee, which obviously would then get passed on to the end user. Oneplus tries to keep the prices as low as possible, so they do not bother with the certification.

Huawei phones are looking promising (my mom's budget P20 lite really impressed me) but the Samsung A80 has caught my interest so I may save up for that and see if it comes down in price in the several months after release. Good battery and flexible camera set-up are the main importance for me. I love having a wide-angled lens. I still wish all these new phones had a headphone jack, that's what is keeping me tethered to my LG V20, the quad-dac audio is 🔥

I have the honor 8 x get it trust me it's worth it it might be a two year old phone but still great with AI camera and it's only 250 dollars on best buy. I got it last year June. The phone has fingerprint scanner, face recognition 64 gb with an extra storage card of 64gb and dual sim cards and many more features. I live in canada so it depends where you live. But I can get it for as low as 180 dollars

The only thing that degraded is the battery, used to last 2 days, now I need to top it up sometime during the day but that's understandable. Will change the battery soon otherwise never had an issue with it. Camera is great is daylight, night time is a struggle but I don't mind. All in all, very satisfied w how it aged and as long it performs like this I won't upgrade :)

Yea looks nice but thats all about that phone. It have a bad procesor(overheats a lot), bad display , 3 gb ram is not enought. 16 gb memory is also very bad, with his battery 2550 Mha and his latest version of OOS(octomber 2016) it barely can make a 2 hours of sot. Rear camera is also very bad. Beside of this great phone :D :D :D
