There are three books: Everyday, Another Day and Someday. SPOILERS AHEAD! Everyday Actually A didn’t stay on Alexander’s body for more than a day. A didn’t want to do that. A goes to another place to stay away from Rhiannon’s life and let Alexander be there for her. Another Day Its just the POV of Rhiannon during Everyday. Someday This is my favorite among the three. We will be introduced to Reverend or X unlike A, X can stay to one body for a long time. You could also see here that Rhiannon and A get back together and trying to make things work. When A meets X, they shared what they know among themselves. Staying to one body for a long time consumes the host energy and it could lead to death. Thus, A doesn’t want to do this. X was killed by A and Rhiannon by waking up the host consciousness together with his family. Book ends where A become friends with Alexander, Nathan and Rhiannon. A is happy that there are people know his/her existence.

I’ve seen a similar Korean drama (“The Beauty Inside”) where an actress switches bodies once a month...especially during stressful situations, like a public appearance or celebrity event. In that situation, her own body transforms and it lasts a few days. It was a very emotional series, and like many other Korean series, the acting was SUPERB!!

If you hated someone in one life, and if you kill them, you would 1. mess that persons life up, 2. that person wouldn't even know it was you, so why kill them?
