I remember in the original when the mom comes in the bathroom, she doesn't realize what's happened and drains the nasty tub only to realize she DRAINED ALL OF HER DAUGHTER'S FLESH. In the webtoon is because flesh needs to be compatible with the user, any flesh won't do. That's why when she noticed her parents flesh were compatible with her (since they are family) they become so precious to her (as flesh hosts). The webtoon is even more gruesome and doesn't have this inconsistencies. Ji-hoon starts to hunt girls for her flesh because beauty water isn't permanent and bits of the skin of the users starts to fall off (pretty much like Ye Ji illusion) so besides his sadism he needed that flex to maintain his new life

The role of a parent is to raise you in a way that you don’t only get the love and acceptance from those who brought you to life, but to also know when to be tough and give you the tools to face hardships. Something they were literally unable to provide. Sounds mean, but being a good parent doesn’t mean being soft all the time. That’s how your kid ends up being bullied. Because those kind of parents tend to be overly protective and loving they just raise weak and harmless kids. And being harmless is the most useless and dangerous thing a person can ever be. Even evil people rank higher than that.

One day walking home after school she opened the back of an old car trunk to find a mechanical life sized doll. She brought the doll back to her house and it turned on. Oh my God this is like the Korean anime version of a story i sort of wanted to write called "Beauty Market" but instead of melting skin, it's a slightly different chain of events. The main character is similar to Yae-Ji but does errands for this beauty fairy who wears outfits from different time periods from the past, getting closer to the present and future each time he shows up again for her different requests for beauty treatments. The main character does little errands for the fairy who tells her spells and provides artifacts to fix her hair, teeth, wrinkles, weight, and then finally offers to fix her conscience, because the woman learns the little meaningless errands led to strangers dying or experiencing extreme misfortune. The fairy mocks her, saying she is a hypocrite who was perfectly happy doing the errands without question, as long as she didnt know what happens later. (It's sort of a metaphor for fast fashion and makeup mining labor horrors.) In the end the main charcater decides she would rather have a conscience than be beautiful, so she breaks the haunted mirror she used to stay in touch with the fairy, and all the magic treatments reverse except for her hair, (went from very frizzy to smooth.) which was the first sample, to remind her it wasn't just a dream.
