I've got a new one. There are 2 main things: 1) the back is more curved and seats much better; 2) the side pockets hold the belts inside much better and the harness looks cleaner. The new hook is better also. I like it a lot, but cost money...

Bought size M from Jake's shop and already tried on the water. Comparing to my L Majestic this is a rocket. Definitely recommend the model of harness and Jake's shop!

I own both. I agree that the differences are negligible. I think the biggest improvement is in the spreader bars - the softer foam and better/longer lever latch is a welcome improvement. Easier to close and compress my protective karate padding. (fat)

Ordered 2022 model. Saved £140. Ordered a size smaller because my mystic majestic harness is uncomfortable after 5 years of active wear. I believe the foam has died. Hopefully this will sit better and will not cut the ribs or the pelvis 😂 I rode myself out another week. I should order 2024 model and compare

I just took a look at my harness and noticed that it is actually size L. Then I cancelled my order of the 2022 model. And ordered a new 23/24 model at your website! Thanks for the vid

Yes that's beacause I couldn't find the freeride spreader bar that I use for big air as I never unhook. I ordered the freeride spreader bar on another site where I found it in stock

Thanks for the good review Jake. I want to buy a new harness and am unsure between the 2020 version and the 2023 version. The 2020 version is now €160 cheaper (€299 vs €459). Do you think the differences between the versions are worth €160?

Hey dude, the 2020 version served me well since the release, it's actually still going strong with one of my mates I've given it to. It kinda depends on your build as well - ideally you'd want to try both shells on and see how they sit. I've found after using the 2023 version for longer now that it is easier to push it back down even when done up after massive crashes or powerful loops and generally sits better for the most part. I'm 5'8" and it feels a bit better than the 2020. Also, it's a budget thing and how often you kite. When I'm buying my gear I always calculate price vs usage. Not sure if this helps? :)

I recently upgraded and found that it's way harder to tighten the straps on the new one. I really dislike that. It's almost impossible for me to tighten the straps when the spreaderbar is closed. Not sure what they changed...

actually same for me. Dont have the old one, came from a warrior III, but now the straps are impossible to move. Maybe the point is so that they dont loosen while riding. Easy enough to just open and adjust though. The difference to softshell is insane and actually helped with progression

Hey dudes! Yes, I totally forgot to mention that tightening is a struggle! They might get a bit easier when they get used but totally see your point... especially with my left arm being useless as it is 😂 You really have to pull them to the side and then pull in. On the flip side, as @kennstedas mentioned here, they are not loosening up when riding so that's a plus :)

Thanks dude! It's not that I don't appreciate folk buying from us, obviously I also have to pay my bills, but we've got a fantastic local community coming to us for kit and I know of some equally small surf shops struggling because of massive online retailers. Love and support your local shops, most of us do this as a lifestyle thing just to keep us in the water :)

Could you say if the GEN3 spreader bar can go on the old Stealth harness and what measure of the spreader bar is best for a Size S (280mm maybe ?)

Yeah it will work no probs, size totally depends on your waist mate.
