Deep within the chapple she knitted with the word caught up by a holy fire with each letter that she heard Mystic revelations of biblical design poured out into her loveliness a glimpse of the divine The visions born from Mary's soul the sister wrote them down laced like threads from in the books the prophets all had bound Holy contemplations So sacred in their breadth they burned me just to look at them I had to catch my breath Flying through the universe within her convent prayers She wandered off to Mexico Where Texas now is there Preaching to the Indians In her mantle blue she was pretty as a picture to everyone she knew Now that I have lived a while I think I'd like to go and Knee inside her chapple the one she used to know I'd read again her letters The book she left behind and contemplate the rest of what I missed when I was blind
