That very Japanese game that we played before knowing a whole lot about Japanese culture and language. I'm amazed this managed to get localized, but definitely not disappointed. The plot made no sense to me back then, but its charm has grown a lot since then.

Back when I was little, my siblings and I went to an old movie store that had this game. We didn't know what it was but we all fell in love with it. Every time we went there we had to rent it. We played for hours. Though I was four when I played it, I still remember it more than a few n64 games that are popular. Shame this is so underrated. It was fantastic. Great Music too. I also feel this game spiked my interest in Japanese culture. The feeels!! Thank you very much for uploading. Brings back amazing memories.

Back in the days, when I got my hands on this game I didn't know that the game required a memory slot to save the game progress. This little bit of misunderstanding caused me to reroll the game every time i had to turn it off, only to start playing the next day or just a few hours later, and trying to get further than I did last time. I thought that was the way the game was meant to be played. Eventually I figured out that I needed the extra memory slot, went and bought one and could finally make progress. 10/10 ignorant 10 Y/O. I usually made it to around the second or third boss before I had to turn the system off.

I still have a memory pack with all fortune cats found, I played it last night. It has a consecutive boss robot fighting stage when you get all the cats. Never made it past the 2nd fishbot last night Been a long time since I beat those guys

I used to rent the game and leave my N64 on overnight so I could start it one day and finish it the next day. I did this several times, except one time my stepdad turned it off after I went to bed! Still worth it. I love this game.

Back in the days when i couldn't afford a controller pack to save the game. I had to try to play the entire game from start to end without stopping.. It never worked, alway's someone who would mess up when i was at the end of the game like cutting the power off, tripping over the controllers wire causing the n64 to crash or purposefully distracting me so i had to start the game all over again

I don't like Konami anymore. They don't port mystical ninjas outside japan and stopped making pop n twinbee games since 1997. All they care about is silent hill which isn't even scary and metal gear solid which has too many dumb cutscenes. They should of put Goemon in smash brothers and not overrated solid snake who is a mugg. Anyway, thank you for the video. Love these M. ninja games.

You have got to admire Kojima. It appears that he was keeping Konami alive. Working on both Silent Hill & MGS. Their two biggest and most successful franchises. He was probably overworked and mistreated. He also hated seeing the conditions at Konami. Developers that made Konami a household name being sent to do degrading labor.
