+Steven Lee There aren't many Konami series to put someone. Most of them Konami shut down for no reason or is going to at least. Although we already had Solid Snake, and aside someone from Castlevania(Y NO SIMON BELMONT FOR CAPTAIN N JOKE??) or Silent Hill, don't think any other could compete with them in terms of popularity, despite I also loving this game...

Just be glad that WE played this legendary game back in the day and can now rep GOEMON as a swordfighter :) I'm just glad Konami and Nintendo thought he was relevant enough to bring back. Unfortunately, all the hype was on the skeleton :(

I saw him and freaked the hell out. I needed me some DA-DASH DASH, too.
@specknacken65074 жыл бұрын
Yup...to me he was the real winner instead of Sans who's just a meme at this point (i enjoyed my 2 playthroughs of Undertale but that's about it). It is understandable nobody knows about Goemon though as we only got like what 3 or 4 titles localised. And the last one was 20 years ago. The least Nintendo or Konami could've done throughout the years was to put both N64 games on Virtual Console but i guess that's a dead dream (and afaik the first one is still a bitch to emulate without a specific set up).

@@Nogli Is that from an actual song? Or just a random joke.
@gurvmlk3 жыл бұрын
@@Nogli All right. I haven't watched South Park in several years. Not for a lack of interest in the show. I just never actively followed it, and thus over time grew further and further from it. I think the newest episode I've seen was one where they go to a water park, and Cartman's complaining about all the minorities, but even that was just on a random whim when a friend and I were browsing for something to watch.
@Medachod7 жыл бұрын
It is the only Nintendo 64 game to have a gameplay sequence in sixty frames that doesn't have any notable graphical sacrifices at all. Even the cut-scenes are in sixty frames. This game is also the only game where it pulls a vice versa with gameplay and cut-scenes in the frame rate department. Quite funny. Also, you're wrong about that translation. It was actually very accurate. It just looks inaccurate because the game has tons of inside jokes that only a Japanese would understand. And that is not a bad thing at all, given it means the translation is faithful. And in most Japanese games that are localized, that is a very good thing to have. Honestly, it is. You appreciate it.
@gurvmlk6 жыл бұрын
Especially considering most games would just change Japanese jokes and references to something that would make more sense to outside audiences, rather than be concerned with staying faithful.
@hickey12926 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's unfortunately the choice that is made by the translator when they do their work. They either keep it as faithful as possible and have loads of puns that only work in Japanese, or change them to English jokes. The only real way around it is to learn Japanese.
