the last 3 kills are done by chara. that's why if you realise, at the end of sans fight, when you press fight button, sans dodges, but on the second hit he dies. but you yourself didn't even do the second hit. it was chara. (another proof is that your kill counter doesn't increase after killing sans). similarly chara kills asgore and flowey too with their knife. but yeah before these 3, it was only you who killed everyone.

The way that I have always justified this is that whenever frisk swings a weapon (blunt or otherwise) they are doing it with so much force that chunks of the monster’s body are getting annihilated, ultimately resembling a slash. Does it make sense, maybe not, is it an oversight 100%, is it cool???
