My mytee Backpack straps ripped at the seams the first day. Haven't even started using the tool yet. hope this isn't sign of whats to come. So far I like the extractor though. good suction

While i love the tools design mytee definitely has some quality control issues i bought the metal mytee dry and from the beginning it leaked air making an awful noise than after the 3rd use the hose started unraveling where it attached to the tool to there credit they did tell me that they had a batch go out with hoses that Is what manufactured too Thin so I understood I mean it's a fairly new product for them but I gotta be honest after packaging it back up and returning to them what they sent me back assured I won't be spending anymore with them at first It all seamed great The only thing that wasn't quite right The swivel was really tight I just figured there was some fiber or hair or something stuck in between the bearing area And figured I would fix it whenever I cleaned itHowever upon 1st cleaning itI opened it up and all the paint was chipping off the inside of it was filled with corrosionI really wish I could attach pictures It's pretty obvious that it was A poor refurbishing jobAll the Coating on the inside is flaking off and got corrosion all under it It really disappoints me because I like the tool But I killed you not at this moment this thing is less than what 4 Or 5 months old But now has no paint on it Just a big layer of corrosion all over it I'd be embarrassed to pull this out at a customer's house

We would be very interested in seeing pictures of what you are talking about so we can figure out what may have happened and prevent it from happening again. We would greatly appreciate if you sent pictures to [e-mail] for us to verify. This is the first we've heard this issue reported (the corrosion issue) and agree that it is unacceptable. We can also fully replace any defective parts under warranty for a full year after purchase and hope we can be given the chance to make that tool right for you!

i thought pump was always turned on first to avoid airlocks?

Almost! The pump needs to be turned on before the heater to avoid vaporlock, but with this triggerless tool you want the vacuums running first so they can recover the water from the tool when the pump is switched on.

Yes it can, but you would run through the 1 gal tank pretty quickly and would be refilling often if you were doing more than just spot cleaning, so we would recommend an external jet tool with a trigger like the 8400p

@@GPassmore try a pump sprayer from home depot and put your hot water and cleaner in there and spray it on the carpet instead of using the mytee dry for water. it's a bit of work but its better than constantly refilling your 1 gallon tank and you won't have to buy another machine
