A few years back I arrived at a toll booth and the lady there was laughing uncontrollably 😅. She said it looked like I had a horse's head stuck out of my sunroof. Actually I was pulling a one horse trailer with a big front window, behind an old Subaru Forester. So, It doesn't surprise me that FSD couldn't distinguish a deer coming towards it.

Actually, there are several companies trying to recycle 'used' gasoline. Turns out it seems more difficult to recover bits of used gasoline from the atmosphere than it is to recover and repurpose or recycle used batteries from vehicles and other applications. Expect that to change, however, because SpaceX needs to produce methane and other interesting chemicals in huge quantities on Mars, where atmosphere and ice are likely to be the raw material inputs.

I like your comparison of software to a child.Is my family struggles with teenagers? We all have to remind each other.As much as Yes are teenagers think they're adult they're not, So we cannot expect the software to be an adult when it is barely a teenager

Xiaomi SU7 is the proof that long term the chinese will even beat Tesla SU7 is already better than Model 3 in every way Being their firs model there had been some issues but already fixed way faster than Tesla fixed their first Model 3 issues The chinese are SO FAST I have a Model Y and also TSLA . I think that in the next 4 years TSLA will explode, but, in the long run, the chinese will be better

There will be a severe contraction of the number of Chinese manufacturers as there are too many. In the long run China is not guaranteed to win.

That's if you believe Tesla is just a car company. Plus, Tesla built their factory faster than Xiaomi did, with the latter able to learn from what Tesla did. Also, the Chinese are not the Borg, and just as Japan appeared invincible in the 1980s, the Chinese appear that for the time being. I am not saying they won't steamroll legacy auto, but China is no monolith without its own problems.

​@@stefanconstantinescu1576 Is NVIDIA Chinese? The CCP can't just snap its fingers and get its own FSD. That's a fundamental misunderstanding of how FSD will be solved. There's a reason Tesla pioneered giga-castings and Chinese companies followed. China remains largely a copy economy without a strong innovative culture. Hence, the Chinese military being vastly inferior to the US. Also, no one with s straight face would claim China has academic institutions anywhere near MIT or Stanford.
