My neighbor is upset because he got a ride to work in his co-workers new Cyber Truck. His wallet went missing. His dog was taken to the Vet and his paycheck was shorted by $150. He later admitted he had left his wallet at home, on the counter. His dog had it's annual shots at the Vet and he had taken a $150 draw from his wages. But Cyber Truck was the culprit.

The problem with the billionaires is that they don’t spend their money. They borrow against their assets at very low rates. When they die, their assets are liquidated to pay off those debts. The remainder is then taxed, so the cost of those mansions and yachts was capital gains that were never taxed. Most run of the mill “barely a multi millionaire” Americans don’t have that option. To be clear, I don’t believe in a tax on unrealized gains. That said, this practice needs to be handled somehow. My best bet would be in the inheritance tax structure

The Hummer according Bob Lutz, former gm/Chrysler/Ford Boss, does 1.8 miles/kWh*. According to the IAA Tesla semi presentation in Europe, the Tesla semi is running at 1.8 miles/kWh loaded with crisps (shout out to Brian for knowing the correct product name 👍) and 1 mile/kWh loaded with fizzy pop and 1.6 across the fleet at PepsiCo. *Autoline After Hours.

To be fair, our tax system needs to tax everyone at the same rate. Pick a rate: 10%, 15%. Whatever you choose, make it so there are no loopholes. None…It is plainly stupid to do otherwise. Make more money pay more tax, all treated the same. As for the complexity of assets including generational assets I say to all those affluent lefty Lucy’s who want to tax unrealized capital gains, well maybe it should start with their second homes and summer cottages. Forcing founders to relinquish their controlling interest so as to pay the unrealized capital gains is extremely flawed as an idea. Imagine if the founders of Kodak or some other now defunct company was forced to do this. You get the point.
