I'm glad it didn't separate, pop back to the original shape and break your hand or foot. Definitely holding my breath.

I'm sort of glad it didn't unseat the bead, suddenly returning to shape and hurt you.

I didn't think of that 🤨

Only thing I see is if there was a puncture, would impede or stop from sucking it down. Interesting though.

Yes you'd need more volume from the pump.

The only reason you would charge a try is because you have a puncher, so the myth would definitely fail. Also big risk of getting injured. Sometimes the old tried and tested methods are the safest and best. Driving over one side of the tyres to break the bead works, providing you have a spare, otherwise ole school ways the best results. 🤙🏽

Hi Geoff, I live in a town where there are no mechanical services so I have to change my own tyres. It's a difficult job using hand tools on any sized tyre but these 37R12.5x17" tyres are really tough to change. Driving over the deflated tyre still fails to break the bead. I usually use the bucket on the CAT mini excavator with the tyre held against the blade. That works quite well but I was told this was a very effective method so I just had to give it a go. Phil

Vacuum is bs for tire repair. Great way to make it square

Unfortunately that will destroy the plys in your tyre .

This tyre has delaminated so that's why it's coming off. I just wanted to try the principal because I was told that it's a way of breaking the bead when out and about.

All you are doing is trying to invert the bead and locking it to the rim.

You may be right but I thought it was a good idea anyway.

What size are those wheels and where did you find them at
@moneybox57332 жыл бұрын
The wheels are 17"x8.5" to suit Isuzu and Mitsubishi 6-stud. They come from Queensland along with the tyres. aav4x4.com.au/37-wheels-for-isuzu-nps-250-300-4x4-post-2009-to-current-nh-npscb-or-gb-6-stud/
