Myth: History in the Making Longplay (Amiga) [50 FPS]: Updated visuals aren't enough to help this slightly tired conversion of the C64 classic. Read the video description for my review!

Kudos for making such detailed description. I find it extremely helpful. Your mention of SID god Tel made me want to buy C64 again! Also, what a fine longplay. I especially enjoyed shield-bashing the kneeling enemies in the Greek part. Keep up the good work!

I have fond memories of this game. The implementation of historical places along with Greek, Norse and Egyptian mythology was fascinating for me. The game has its own way to create an atmosphere of mystery and despite some cryptic puzzles (like the bird on the Viking ship) can captivate you in its gameplay. I remember that I wasn't aware about the hidden shield in the statue and that I was able to kill Medusa without it. I also remember that the controls was something I hated on this game. The ending animation is epic. "I Salute Thee!"

Game starts at 5:24 if you don't want to listen to intro music(but why not? it's amazing)

I loved this game for its setting and the sprite graphics - but was disappointed that the Amiga version doesn't have smooth scrolling. There are plenty of similar games on the Amiga that had perfectly smooth scrolling : 1st Samurai, Barbarian 2 (Psygnosis), Risky Woods, to name but three. What went wrong here?

If you enjoyed Myth (and First Samurai) then keep an eye on my channel - I have new 1440p (QHD) recordings of both games coming soon 🙂

I had completely forgotten about this game! Stumbled upon this video almost by accident. While watching this video I repeatedly went "Oh, yeah, I remember that, that was so cool!". Also interesting to learn that the C64 version was basically a port of Conan for the NES with different graphics. Amiga version is far superior though. The atmosphere in this game is amazing!

Correct, but the other way round. It was ported to the NES later and given the Conan license treatment to appeal more the US market.

I enjoyed this game on the C64, but think the kid has more personality than Mr Muscles in this game.

C64 version trumps it. But of course - I would say that! Was Dawn of Steel made..?

Not to my knowledge :) Would have been interesting to see what it would have been like.

Strangely reminds me of Conan on the NES .

That's because they're the same game - Conan on the NES just a rebranded Myth :)
