i think the only two other dark souls channels that put out such high quality content about dark souls are vaatividya, the pruld and sabaku, and oddily enough two of them are italian, while also two of them talk mainly about lore... but again, i don't know all the souls channels. and oldman has even higher productio quality anyway.

The crab is used as a teleportation device. If you kill it 100 times, reset the game, and eat a mossfruit, you then you teleport to the secret area known as archcrab peak. Getting to the end of this area gets you the crab body stone and you become a crab person. Its special attacks are using giant phantom pincers, and shooting spicy water.

The symbol in wolnir's cup room that you said might be the world tree looks more similar to the mark on hollowed undead at the start of ds1. The same symbol appears on their chest AND our chest when hollowed. Try using 5 levels from Yuria the pilgrim, turning hollow then doing everything you tried again.

Limit Breakers! Could you guys do an episode on the Knight Slayer ring (Ivory Warrior Ring in DS2)? I'm fairly certain the way it functions is each weapon has a "stagger" stat we can't see and the ring modifies that value. This number would go against the blocker's stability so if increased it would do more stamina damage. I say this because with it on and using a great hammer I have also been able to stagger bosses much much easier, sometimes with every hit! (Sorry for bitch slapping you repeatedly Uncle Gael). So I assume this "stagger" value is the same stat that is used to fill a boss's stagger meter to either stagger them or get a critical attack animation. So i think the ring does way more than it says, making it a top tier PvE ring! I also don't know if it is a straight modifier to this value (adding 100 or something), or if it increases it by a percentage, so the more you have on your weapon to start the better it is? If a percentage, every great hammer build would benefit greatly but spears may get no benefit. Also does it stack with spells? Boulder heave could break through shields or stagger bosses easier if this were the case for example. You guys are perfect for cracking in the game and testing the numbers, so hopefully you are up to task! Thanks for all the work you do!

i believe it works quite the same as dark souls 1 stamina damage, different weapon class have different stamina damage which damage the stability of shield and poise health. so i think the knight slayer ring boost this stamina damage which also boost its poise damage which usually tied to stamina damage.

Speaking of the Giant Crab's burrowing technique, if you use dung pies to poison the crab, it will still take damage even when burrowed. Looking at its health bar is a good way of knowing where it'll resurface, as well as the best way to counter it's health regen.

This gave me several ideas but nothing new really. It can be lured with Alluring Skull It does not respond to Warmth (Pyromancy) It does not respond to Sacred Flame (Pyromancy) It does not respond to Rapport (Pyrmancy) It does not respond to Warmth or Rapport after lowering it's health to almost zero. It is EXTREMELY vulnerable to Poison, both from Storytellers Staff as well as either pyromancy. It still does not respond to Warmth during this. Healing Miracles don't seem to do much if anything at all (Not on the same team.) It does not respond to Way of White Corona (Don't know why I thought that would do anything other than kill it.) Will try more if I think of anything.
