Really appreciate the honest and thorough breakdown of the pros and cons rather than turning it into another commercial for the product like so many of the other "reviewers" do who are just pimping the product like good little elves. And props to the 4H for allowing you to be so honest. I'll support this approach any day over bootlickers 😆

When it comes to the relationships between companies and content creators, Four Horsemen does it right. It really comes down to mutual support and respect. When there's respect and relationship, constructive criticism and open analysis are always welcome. But there is also a big difference between peddling outrage (which is great for clicks and views) and providing level-headed reviews with nuanced opinion (which is not great for clicks and views). I am always much more suspicious when I see channels embracing the tribalistic extremes and masking it as hard honest "criticism," than I am when I see someone shilling for a company. Many viewers fall prey to the dishonest and self-serving tactics of the outrage peddlers, and it's gross because they champion these edgy creators as the truth bringers. For this reason I try to be balanced and thoughtful rather than just embracing the strife that would probably grow my channel faster.

I’ve changed my preordering strategy recently. I used to buy extras during the preorder period, but now I’m mainly just buying an all-in ahead of time. Then I’ll mostly pick up my extras from retailers when they are available (although I did buy a few extra Bodvars because he’ll likely be much higher at retail). Retailers now seem to have the new waves in stock longer than before, and with free shipping at some of them, they mostly balance out the direct prices. That way those extra funds aren’t tied up for 1-2 years like they are with the preorder. The all-in discount still makes sense, though, so that’s what I now go with.
@DorkLair11 ай бұрын
The post-release availability has definitely improved a lot the last few waves. Even better if you can find a con they'll be at.

If you haven't heard, there will be a direct in stock sale later this month. It will have figures from the 2023 conventions and the Reinforcements 2 army builder wave. It'll be a great opportunity to pick up some figures now for the same prices as the pre-order waves.

I just want Neve, so i will wait until retail either Amazon or BBTS. A year and half is a fairly long time for a figure to spend now on and price difference wont be very huge since direct charges more in shipping compared to online retail stores.

Oh for sure, a single figure is not gonna save much direct.

I went in on Atlus, Bodvar the bear, Neve, the dwarf 2 pack, and 2 of Brodor. I thought about going all in, but with Christmas at the same time, just couldnt swing it. I might pick up a couple more later on, but hate paying the mark up! I like the new Scapular, and really wanted to order 2 bears, but couldnt do it during the preorder.

I love your videos, just found your channel recently while researching some figures to decide if i wanted to buy them. Just got into mythic legions in the last couple months, and realize i missed so many good figures and they cost so much now! But holding out hope to maybe see some show up in future all stars releases!

@@ytrefugee113 Nice! The new figures are better anyway, definitely smart to hold out for a V2 or all stars release on the older ones.

I grabbed Attlus 2 (I never got him the first time around), Neve, Da Big Ass Bear, and the dwarves. I was very close to grabbing Skapular, and/or the minotaur, but the added cost to shipping and customs pushed it too far out of reach. I went all in on Poxxus, and I still need to purchase new shelf space to accommodate that, and pay customs when it gets to Canada. Shame, because Skapular is fantastic, and the minotaur was pretty great too. Oh well. Might pick up one of them on retail, but then I find that tends to compete with future 4H releases. Good break down. I seriously cannot wait for dragons. That bear sells me on the idea they can pull it off, though if a bear is $85 I can only imagine a dragon as pushing $100.
@DorkLair9 ай бұрын
If they do a dragon, it will probably be huge, maybe 4x the size of the bear. Possibly bigger.

Great video, was looking out for something like this. I'm new to Mythic Legions, got my first figure like 2 months ago, and now I got like 25+. I am loving this toy line. I did go all in already, but just been wondering what else to buy. I'm glad I watched this. I was thinking about Manisha, I mean with the extra heads too. I think Broddr will be a good choice too. I gotta get an extra set of dwarves too. All the figures look great, but I think I will go extra with those three. I'm glad I got into Legions in time to get the discount on the wave. Kinda sucks paying for the retail bump, but what can you do. Thanks again. All your vids have been helpful! 👍

I'd like to buy direct from 4H but the shipping to Australia is too high. like 50% more expensive than buying from the official Australian 4H retailer. Not 4Hs fault obviously, they don't control postal pricing, and I'm happy to support a local-ish business as well but it would be nice to be able to show 4H a bit more direct support. Great form of video, easier than having the wave open on Source Horsemen in ten different tabs lol. I'm not going to go all-in as tempting as it is, I want two Neve and three of Manisha so I'll probably sacrifice Diis and Yoshanai for that. I'm on the fence about Regarionn, its really nice but I have the Xesray minotaurs on the way so do I need a third? (maybe).

They said they continually try to renegotiate the shipping prices with the carriers, but in the grand scheme of businesses 4HM is still relatively small and probably doesn't have a ton of leverage.

I have a question who are the renditions of the four horsemen of the apocalypse by mythic legions?
I’m new to the line where can you buy for that $37 price
@DorkLair11 ай бұрын
You can pre-order them for that price directly from Four Horsemen. Just be aware, for that price it's pay up front, and a large wave like this usually takes almost 2 years to ship.
@rageagainstthewashingmachi287711 ай бұрын
From the store horsemen website. Just Google those words. It's an upfront payment and the shipping is kinda high if you arent in America or only getting one or two standard figures

So will the bear be available at retail upon release?

It will be available for pre-order from retailers starting Monday. Usually these don:t sell out before release so I would expect retailers to still have it available upon release, but you never know.

Tough one to calculate, basically a little more than the total of the individual figures' direct pre-order price. For example the standard figures will be $40 instead of $37.
