There are great ancient Greek heroes, but then there is Heracles, his humility, his sense of true nobility, his most supreme levels of strength and intelligence ranks him as second to none in ancient Greek mythology pertainig to heroic lives and deeds. This video is an awesome portrayal of him, with excellent visual and narration.Thankyou

Heracles is a true hero. I wish that more people would look to men like him instead of false and fake modern day heros that dont have even one ounce of honor. What a beautiful and awesome video. Thank you for sharing ❤

@@noahibanez7771eh Achilles is hardly worthy of being looked up to. For most of the Iliad he refused to get out of bed due to pettiness and arrogance while allowing multitudes of his comrades to be slaughtered for the sake of gaining glory

From my understanding, and I am surprised the video didn't cover this, but from what I understand, Heracles had both male and female lovers, given the Greeks views on homosexuality. In fact, I believe Alexander the Great was also rumored to have had both male and female lovers, just like Julius Caesar after him.

@thecowboy9698Ай бұрын
@dumbask44 - That's what I have read, that Heracles was bisexual, and accoding to what I have heard, homosexuality was largley accepted in the ancient Greek world. Unfortunately, so was pederasty.

Listening to this tells me, somewhat, of HERCULES, the son born from a mortal woman fathered by Zeus, bringing the Jealousy of Hera, have u got the name right? Listing I g on, the story seems different, same God as father, same Jealousy by Hera, I'm gonna have to check the story of Herculese again

"Heracles and Hercules are two different names for the same figure in Greek mythology known for his heroic feats of strength. Hercules, the more common form, is based on the Latin version of the original Greek name, rendered in English as Heracles.". ~ Wikipedia
@maggiemay310810 ай бұрын
Hercules is the Roman equivalent to Heracles. Jupiter is the ruler of the Roman gods, Zeus the ruler of the Greek gods. For every Greek god, there is a Roman equivalent.

Big Heracles might have known, but Little Heracles was running the show at night. Besides, since the sisters were all in on this, they probably just used the same name and let the next sister know what Heracles liked to do and gave her notes for pillow talk if necessary.

Where exactly was the Oracles location because I feel like it was a time keeping device or something like a computer that enlightened him the same as telling his story on KZbin everything sounds way to good
@arbitrarytoastАй бұрын
The Oracle's location was in Delphi, which is still a City in Greece today. There is no time keeping device or computer because the story is fiction, and the author would know what will happen and easily write the knowledge into the story. I sincerely hope you are a bot and not a real person. Greek mythology is fiction, and the story of Heracles is just another story.

IS IT STILL MYTH IF HE IS AN ANCESTOR!!?
@MythicalArcana6 ай бұрын
He himself may not be, but the stories would be considered myth =X
@arbitrarytoastАй бұрын
Dude... ancestor doesn't mean they were real. The entire story is fiction, all the characters are fake. I would advise looking up the definitions of words if they seem to imply things that aren't true, it's a good way to separate internal bias and actual vocabulary.

Lmao no Heracles is his real name. Hercules is the one given later down the line not by the greeks
@arbitrarytoastАй бұрын
Try researching before you correct people. The Greeks authors who wrote the story named him Heracles (in the greek alphabet), and the Romans referred to him as Hercules later on. Heracles and Herculese are the same mythological character, but you have the incorrect original spelling.
