peanut oil, rapeseed oil, lard and beef tallow/dripping are the best oils to use with frying... vegetable oil may have higher smoke point BUT it still releases carcinogens at high heats.

At five guys you have to layer everything in a specific order. Mayo goes on the top (unless you only order mayo then on both buns) and ketchup and mustard on the bottom (w/ the same exception). The hot sauce, the BBQ, and the A1 go directly on the burger. Grilled onions, mushrooms, and green peppers to on the bottom. Lettuce, tomato, bacon, raw onion, relish, go on the top. Otherwise, it's not the five guys way. I don't even work there anymore.
