I think Mitchell is my favorite guest so far. So passionate, and the fact that his students call him up to brag about their accomplishments says a lot. What a king.

Out of all the teachers I've had, there's one I every so often go chat with & tell what I've been up to. And every time he is amazingly supportive and proud. So I my experience such teacher are quite rare, but good that this Mitchell guy has found his calling in teaching.

For the record, I’ve NEVER thought Josh has lied to us about his food tasting good. I have, however, thought that his (and Rhett and Link’s) taste buds have been exposed to so much… uh… unique cuisine over the years that I think he and I might have different definitions of “tastes good”.

Mitchel for sure has that vibe where he could probably make people cry with his critiques but the critique is greatly appreciated because you know he cares and is a great teacher. Unapologetically ourselves, chaotic, and just here for a good time. Also a great guest, it was really nice to see a culinary teacher give solid critique and praise.

This guy is the perfect creative/academic teacher. Very knowledgeable yet humble, with a kind, warm demeanor. Doesn’t pull his punches in areas that could “improve,” wording important…never hurtful or derogatory and highlights the positives and what he thinks is not only working but approaching a revelation. Definition of what constructive criticism should look like. You can tell Nicole wanted to be her best bc she knows hes honest and tough but also respects him.

I like how he reassures josh in the end but at the same time reiterates what can be improved. Critiquing others must be difficult at times but he has a good, slightly playful but genuine, attitude. He critiques with purpose and he does so keeping in mind not only how he experiences the dish but the tastes of others.

This guy reminds me of when I was going to Art Institute. I was not culinary, but in the game design classes there were so many passionate and encouraging teachers that really cared. Mitchell here just gave me some wonderful flashback memories.

What a thoughtful and sincere man! I was so enraptured during Mitchell's caviar story. This segment is a fun one as a viewer, but I can imagine it being so stressful for the chefs. Rhett and Link make the Kitchen do so many insane tasks, and I love that the chefs in this segment don't just cook their best meal (though that might be a fun future video idea! No gimmick, just cook for another professional!) but they incorporate a ridiculous element into each course and then be critiqued. Mitchell was such an awesome guest! I got a sense that he is such a nice person but deeply cares about his students to give them honest, benefical advice, even if it is harsh. I personally respond to honest and tough comments the best because I then trust that person. Great video!!
